I think I got social anxiety by always being shunned by my peers. They say "go to the club/bar" I went and I couldn't find anyone to dance with so I just sat in a corner until they left. The guys I went with ended up getting bjs and hjs. Went to a family function and I'm always the one no one talks to for some reason. Nowadays I just go to work then home

I had social anxiety once I hit college then I started getting better with it . My anxiety stemmed from being locked up then getting out and going right to college . My social skills were still wired like I was in the dayroom . It was a white college too Most awkward I ever felt .

My girlfriend has social anxiety. She's going to therapy for it, she just gets really nervous and goes into a shell. Which is really strange for me considering I'm basically a straight extrovert.

She's gotten better since I been with her. Its not debilitating to a point where she can't go places, but if she sees someone she knows she usually tries to avoid them or makes the conversation very short.

It totally baffles me, and the hardest thing for me is to not put her in weird situations by just doing the stuff I usually do. If its not to bad its manageable, just gotta come to a common ground and realize that society conditions you to be hyper-social and thats not really all that needed.

I don't really drink and alcohol has the same effect of soda to me. I can down those big ass bottles of blue moon and feel exactly the same. I hate liquor though. I feel like that might be where I'm at a disconnect with people though. I don't do the things that "normal" people in society do. Like go to clubs, party, drink all the time etc. For example my uncle got mad at me because I didnt join him and my cousin in the other room to drink and watch football. Like why do I have to do that? Is it a rule or something? I was fine enjoying my own space and time. Its baffling tbh and most the time dude dominates the convo about drinking, women or his days in school. Like why would I want to hear that
