It's not him. I doubt he still has access to those emails and he remembers things from a decade ago. This is definitely coming from the top. Goodell is dropping these himself. He wanted Gruden to get fired but his dumbass doesn't realize doing that just opened a can of worms. He thought the attention would just be on Gruden and his emails but now everyone wants to see ALL the emails. This Adam Schefter shyt is just a distraction. They might feed us little dumb shyt to satiate our appetite until another storyline comes to take the attention away.So Bruce Allen just telling on everybody![]()
Yep, Yep Most Journalist might as well just be PR agents. There are only a few teams where journalist will bother to dig and that is when they have issues with the organization giving them access. This isn't surprising. And I'm sure all those journalists do it.
Seriously how has he weaseled his way out of this? People forget this entire thing is unfolding because they were essentially sexually trafficking cheerleaders. And we now see the pictures from that sexual trafficking were exchanged via email (from Bruce to Gruden). That needs to be to be the lead here. Can we get Snyder and Co emails?
shefter aint some investigative reporter tho. i don't think many people are looking to him for exposes and depth of analysis. his articles are about insider gossip and unnamed sources sharing stuff they don't want to put their name on.The question is whether it’s ethical. We all know it happens. It’s not remotely objective however.
It’s Goodell and Snyder (and nfl owners) working together. It's not him. I doubt he still has access to those emails and he remembers things from a decade ago. This is definitely coming from the top. You can’t have a source of your story reviewing the article– and we don’t know if Allen was the source of a story or Schefter just asked him to review it. That’s not journalism.shefter aint some investigative reporter tho. i don't think many people are looking to him for exposes and depth of analysis. his articles are about insider gossip and unnamed sources sharing stuff they don't want to put their name on.
shefter will give you "a source in the team said they were surprised at the mistreatment of cheerleaders and that two executives are likely to be fired", some wapo investigative journalist will tell you how, why, who and when exploitation of cheerleaders took place, who built the culture, words from the cheerleaders' mouths, the trips that were book, the people in attendance, etc. getting the ok to share insider gossip stories vs having a team edit an objective investigative piece aren't the same
Idk why, but Jerry doesn't strike me as someone that would be a bigot, at least semi-openly.
Jerry probably not even making calls. Face to face.
We still giving old white men the benefit of the doubt in 2021?Idk why, but Jerry doesn't strike me as someone that would be a bigot, at least semi-openly.
like i said, i don't think of shefter as a journalist. he's an insider who happens to need to create written content for ESPN to drive clicks. he's just here to spread gossip, rumors and share comments people don't want to put names onYou can’t have a source of your story reviewing the article– and we don’t know if Allen was the source of a story or Schefter just asked him to review it. I kept telling people yesterday that ESPN employees were in those emails as well![]()
Jerral Wayne is old school.
He'd probably call Italians "wop" and Irish "mick" and white trash "peckerwoods"....probably use all kinds of old azz slurs no one uses today.

Of course, Gruden was an ESPN employee at that time
