One thing I dislike about people who don’t understand the legal system when commenting on issues like this is how ignorant they are to the fact that a defendant can truly fukk themselves by previewing their defense, giving the prosecution time and strategy to counter or shut that defense down with.



A lot of the times prosecution don’t even give a fukk if you innocent, they want their conviction by any means. Withholding exculpatory evidence ain’t shyt to a hungry DA.


I’m not gonna go as far as to say he didn’t do it but if he didn’t, and there are two other witnesses who’ve mysteriously been quiet since the incident and could be potentially paid off, bribed or coerced into going against him, why would he reveal his hand for social media clout and jeopardize the case even further?

that’s not how the law works, buddy.


From what I understand, the SUV belonged to him. And he’s had/beat prior gun possession charges by not claiming knowledge of the firearm in his vehicle and getting a prior bodyguard to claim it was his instead.


You can be charged for possession of a firearm even with no prints on the gun and no corroborating evidence. Just the gun. In your proximity or vehicle you’re in. That’s a FACT.


IF he didn’t do it but the gun was his, just giving details of the shooting (wether on social media or to the police) to exonerate himself of shooting Meg, could and would be used against him by the DA in the possession case. It would open him up for more questioning.


“So you say Meg (or someone else) was struggling for a gun in the car? Who’s gun was it, where’d it come from?” would be the obvious line of questioning afterwards. Do you not understand this?


IF he didn’t shoot Meg but still doesn’t want to fukk himself over in the possession case, he can’t really directly say anything about the shooting itself without incriminating himself on the possession.


He can talk about what happened leading up to it maybe, but the smartest thing to do would be to not say anything at all. Of course, people will make judgements based on that too, especially those who have a limited understanding of how the legal system works. It’s a tough, lose-lose spot to be in.


Technically, even if they couldn’t prove it, the DA could add the charges of shooting Meg just to pressure him to plea guilty to the possession, then throw the shooting charges out in a deal. It happens every day.
