Its really good towards the middle-end. It IS indeed a “mood” album and not just something to randomly bump but I can see women loving this album
That's the experimental aspect of the album; it's a texture album in the sense that you're experiencing the music differently from how you would listen to an album with the pop aspects you're affiliating with melody/lyrics. The focus is on how the music and vocals work together to create a feeling and vibe, whereas on an album like A Seat At The Table, the goal is to draw attention to the big catchy choruses and explicit thematic subject matter. It's something I see a lot of new alternative R&B artists are doing with their music
