Let's just lay it out there op. You think black Americans are at the bottom because of their own doing, right? I didn't see any disclaimers in your post that said "With the exception of black people." You have to have that disclaimer when you say poor people don't work hard. Poor whites and poor blacks can't be compared.

Like I don’t get how people get to their 30s and still work in the same dead end job and make poor decisions. You’ve had years to find other skills, trades or avenues to make money. And yet you get mad at everyone else except yourself for your own poor decisions?

Is this a personal anecdote.... because there isn't any evidence whatsoever that proves this to be socially true... and furthermore, American blacks have every right to be pissed....... wouldn't you agree?

cause small business owners have never fukked over their workers ever :mjlol:

This is a "Corporatist" mentality

It's a mentality predicated on structured industrialization. Giving you a set job title, set job description, set pay, and we're not allowed to stray away and add to our wealth

The Corporate caste system promotes a set rigid "minimum wage" and "salary" instead of promoting "side hustle" and "small business"

Everyone on earth, even if they are a low earner, can make extra income through creating their own small business

he's out of touch is really what it boils down to

Minimum wage hasn’t increased since 2009. Cost of living has steadily increased since then. That’s a problem. For someone claiming to be so smart and savvy, why are you being retarded?

What is your overall point or agenda by stressing this?

This topic is like, danger close to saying people who work "minimum wage" jobs are the "other" and once you start putting people under these labels :francis:

While I don't necessarily think some people are destined in the sense that they have no way to earn
more money or improve their circumstances. I certainly believe there are individuals who simply will never
move beyond their current station because they lack the IQ, physical ability or something similar to that.

With that said, I know people who are bright and intelligent but they spend their time working
two or three jobs and any free time they have smoking, playing videogames, hitting concerts/parties, pouring their time
into art (music, comics, animation), films, videogames etc. They may not do ALL of these things but one or two is enough
to throw all of your free time and/or money into and the opportunity cost of that, is you're burning time that could be put into
a career or educating yourself to earn more money and so on and so forth.

I do believe there is the possibility to turn your life around and completely change your circumstances if you look
and try hard enough but there's also a bit of luck involved in that. I've hinted at the drastic change in my life, it was partly
because a breh is not only intellectually gifted with a decent head on my shoulders but because someone gave me a
chance. Not everyone gets those once in a lifetime opportunities and when the opportunity comes not everyone has the
support system that'll allow them to pursue their dreams/goals & change their situation for the better financially.

I know someone who's an extremely bright young woman but her circumstances and the culture she indulges in kinda
hampered her progress in life. She likely wasn't "destined" for her circumstances and it's more like life molded her options.

Well, in order for what you're saying to stick, you need to define what your version of success and happiness is, cause it varies from person to person....

This is true but I've also talked to these people as they're friends & family (failed/failing musicians, guys/gals working two or three jobs, going
out to party to much and too often etc.)

One sentiment was echoed across all of these conversations "I wish I made a decent living because this is way to stressful/hard to deal with every day/week/month...".
When you love music or social gatherings or your job doesn't pay enough and all of these negatively impact your ability to
keep a roof over your head, you have to eventually make a decision which allows you to keep living a decent life through a decent
wage. I know a few that went homeless for their passions or their stunting/faking for facebook/the gram went up in smoke when
that second or third job told them to stop coming in which lead to them losing their car or apartment.

I feel for them because I was just there, I know what that's like.

By raising the minimum wage, companies can't hire unskilled workers because they will be losing money. A company has to invest more money into training up an unskilled worker to become skilled, then add that to giving them a higher wage. No business would take that risk. By keeping it where it's at, it allows companies to hire them at a lower rate to eventually have them trained up

Imagine you opening a business and you hire an unskilled bookeeper/payroll clerk $20/hr. Your business would fail in a month
