Rocky's beats are okay i definitely wouldn't define them as hard
Rocky has the hardest beats out. fukk outta here. "Pretty Flacko", "Bass" and "Brand New Guy" aren't hard? Cmon
There's nothing remotely pedestrian about Rocky's flow.
, creativity in-of-itself is overrated as fukk.
If you think creativity in itself is overrated, then you're not someone who's capable of knowing what's pedestrian or not.
Being good >>>>> being innovative.
That statement doesnt even make sense because innovative people are very good. That's why you know them as innovative. They take 'good' to another, unique level.
I can create a flow where I make elephant noises between each bar, who gives a flying fukk, it doesn't make it good.
Terrible example, and Rocky doesn't do that. And if you think Rocky does that, you're not paying attention. Why don't you try that criticism again but use an actual example of something Rocky actually does?
Creative people at their best communicate a lot of meaning/emotion/passion while doing something unique.
And lyrically he's mediocre
I agree with that. Never said he wasn't.
Elzhi would rap circles around Rocky
In terms of speed, yes. Which is where underground nerds fall for the trick every time. They think if someone's rapping fast then he's automatically a real emcee

Falling for the Fu-Shnickens trick every time.
But in every other category... putting your emotion/personality into your delivery, picking interesting beats and having a vision for them, Rocky
slaughters Elzhi. It's not even close.
You're too hung up on uniqueness, he is a great lyricist when it comes to putting rhymes together.
No. Nas is a great lyricist. Jeru the Damaja is a lower-tier but great lyricist. Elzhi is nowhere to either of these nikkas.
His flow is very lucid and smooth.
True. But he's also monotone and lacks personality/emotion. Personality/emotion are THE most important aspects of delivery. Only squares can tolerate nikkas with no personality. Regular folk and especially artists/passionate people can't tolerate that shyt.
Which is why Rocky's where he is, and Elzhi is way below him in popularity. Despite the fact that both make underground rap (Rocky's a little more mainstream but not as much as you think).
Elzhi isn't creating any new styles but he's perfected a style that's already been created.
I'd rather improve on something that was already made, than start some new shyt that's wack as fukk, just to say "I'm the only person doing this".
I respect creativity and diversity when it's actually good. When it's not, you don't get points just for trying. This isn't the 3rd grade.
He's not perfecting shyt. Nas, Kool G Rap, Kane, etc already perfected that stuff.
He's just a wannabe.
That's 3rd grade shyt. I don't give out prizes for wannabes. If you're gonna rap, bring something new to the table or get the fukk outta my face.
You're the one giving dudes props for just showing up in the 'real hip hop' category.
