big got a solo deal..with grand hustle..was ready to release it..jive sent letters sayin anything with andre on it...need to be removed or lawsuits were comin..

pissed big off..went to def jam..red did the album..n finally got a release date...




dre the only mc that get flack from critics...but his peers..put em in their top 5 of all time dead or alive..nikkas like scarface rankin him as one his favorites of all time..

if a great is puttin that boy in a list..of top 5 dead or alive..and its 2900000000000 raooers that could be named...fukk a critic

i don't have a top 10, all that shyt is subjective, i only have my favorites. i just think it's bs to knock somebody who has been rapping for over 2 decades just because he doesn't have a solo. like you really need more to tell the type of rapper he is?

Plain and simple...you scared to make a solo rap album, you don't deserve or earned the right to be on a Top 10 list with the greats that have shown that they can make great SOLO projects.

I don't think any artist deserves any spot on these lists.. It's all personal opinion...I would place him ahead of GZA for sure though...

GZA made a certified classic...A SOLO...has a string of really dope SOLO albums (doesn't have a bad solo in his discography) and he is another rapper that is mentioned often when talks of rappers who never dropped a wack verse come up. He definitely deserves to be mentioned over Andre.

3K trying to carry a solo album himself is a whole different beast then doing features fam or rapping as OutKast. It's that simple. There are members here on this site that have rapped before as a group or solo. @spliz is one & you could ask @Cole Cash who produces but I don't know if he's rapped before.

I think he is capable but for whatever reason he hasn't. And that's a huge knock on him to me. The greatest emcees (I'm talking the elite guys) have their own solo projects & carried albums themselves & he's yet to do that. It's like OutKast is his safety net fam

Please. This is Hip Hop, my n!gga. THERE IS SUCH A THING AS A CERTIFIED CLASSIC. And Liquid Swords is one of them. And I believe Q-Tip is a better MC than Too Short but why bring them up? They both have solo albums and neither one of them are considered Top MCs of all time MCs.
