I didn't feel like getting into it with Matt because he'll argue for pages.

IMO the tactical error he keeps repeating is making this venture about him and the people on the stage and not the actual product..Even when he tries to promote the virtues of the product its still about the artists on that stage.. The selling point of "Exclusive Content" has so far been Jack White, Jay-Z and J. Cole concerts or Rihanna and Beyonce songs or videos.. (all share holders)..If you aren't a super fan of a specific artist you aren't gonna give a fukk about that..

Dude is trying to compete with the general consumer market the same way he sells product to his Stans..It seems kinda short sided, because the large majority of the market only cares about how a product will serve their needs..


People didn't use Facebook because they wanted to support Mark Zuckerberg, or the Jewish economy or because they felt young tech guys needed to be compensated fairly for their work....They did it because he offered a service they liked, that beneffited them, that most importantly was free...

If Jay was using his brain he would have been the silent money behind a streaming service that had a niche or price point that the competition didn't have..Selling the people on the stage with him only works for a small percentage of the market that actually really love them...Him having Kanye West on the stage was a clear example of him not thinking big picture...Who was doing the market research that thought having someone so polarizing as the face was a way to compete with the titans?


Stans really care about the artist.. Consumers care about themselves..What do you think makes up the majority of the market?
