The attackers themselves were Mandingo. That is what Rodney and other writers stated. The Mandingo/Mende people in Sierra Leone are the descendants of those people.
Look at this fukkin crakkka.
You know we have pictures of Moors from back in the day? Mostly done by Europeans. There was no confusion about what they were. They were depicted as black.
Stop thinking "negro" meant black. It was only meant to designate one type of African. Ethiopians weren't called "negro" by the Europeans. They were called Hamites. Another name for blacks. Unless you're one to believe Ethiopians aren't black, then the whole "negro" label in meaningless.
We've had many threads on the Moors on this site. Tons of pictures and quotes have been posted. To question whether they were black just shows me you a cac. PERIOD.
I know the damn root of the word. And Im not denying they were black. My point is being black dont means shyt. What were their tribal identity and who is who in that list of peoples they mentioned in the poem. I need some of y'all to demonstrate some type of damn critical thinking and not be brash simpletons...a laThey were black the ancient root word for moor designate black people. The reason they were muslims was the invasion of Islam during the trading period where west Africa and north Africa had to revert in order to continue trading. Islamic believers conquered the trading routes.

@OhNoYouDidnt

IDGAF. Youza sensitive lil whore. Far from a cracka mr dumbass. Im just pointing out that if the Moors were black, as were the Berbers they also participated in the slave trade.
Completing missing the fuxing point because youre a bit slow. My point was they called the entire army moorish, and yet they included all the other nations as also being part of the hordes. Could that be because the major part of the army was black though it featured some Syrian, Tatars, and Persians etc..
Okay Mr Dumbazz
Mende and Mandingo are two different groups lol.
Researchers are pretty convinced that the Mende people are Mandingos that intermarried with Bullom people in Sierra Leone. The Mende recognize two lines of inheritance that go to that connection. They inherit paternally like the Mandingos and maternally like the Bullom. Additionally, the Mende migration story is that of the Mandingos and they live in proximity to the Mandingos in Sierra Leone. The Mende also recognize the Poro and Sande societies.
Man go to a Mende and ask them are they Mandingo. Lmfao this internet stuff got yall ignorant as hell to stuff because you lack the context.
UpAndComing said:Could that mean Africans sailed across the world and were in America before anyone, which explains why there are Black Native Americans?
I spoke to some when I was in Sierra Leone doing my research. Thank you for your concern though.
