It's because that cockiness made for a dope performance, in the suit at least. We got the shyt talk and swag from spidey that was kind of missing from what Toby's version laid down.
The problem is he was still acting like that without the suit on, it's why he's a dope spider-man and a a meh Peter Parker.

I must be old now brehs, because I really didn't enjoy this, I had to wait alost an hour + for Mysterio, I guess the teenage boy girl like dialogue i find irritating as fukk, almost like Jurassic world kids,, they just kept dude looking females
literally just like 3-4 mins in the beginning. it shows that scene in the trailer at the resturant or whatever when he tells the cops he's going on vacay, and one scene of him preparing for the trip. going to the post office.

Nice touch I noticed: during the whole smoke elemental illusion in London, you see all these crazy ass gusts and debris flowing by...yet nobody's clothes or hair are moving in the "wind" at all
