There is no way to judge accuracy because everyone opinions vary. In a regular day to day convo, trying to scale comments like "Yeah it was amazing!", "It was really good," ,"It was ight", "It's okay..", "It's really good" down to numbers seem overly complicated. You either like it a lot, like it or don't really like it.Well I think reviews of things should be broken down on a 10 point scale. It gives you more room to make an accurate rating. Just saying "I liked it" doesn't tell me much. Plus, just one opinion means nothing. You need multiple sources to get an accurate representation.
Dumbing this shyt down does not help at all. You're gonna be stuck with a ton of games that are rated "like". No differential makes it hard to compare.
Like I said there's a big difference between a 7 and a 9 game. With a binary measurement you aren't able to see that difference.
You can't imagine discussing games and movies and how you liked it without talking about numbers in a casual, friendly setting?? e.g. at a friends house, in a group setting or a casual convo with a stranger??imagine that![]()
Do you blurt out numbers in those scenarios?? That's what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about how you think of ratings and personally feel about them. I'm talking about social situations or is that something you're not too familiar with? Is everything technical with you?? You're coming off like that guy whom people come across who seems to make everything super technical and confusing when all it does is just make people walk away and less "impressed" with your knowledge.

I never thought of it that way.
