The "uneduacated" black man...let the "uneduacated" Mexican take his spot in the workforce....

What does that got to do with blaming all the ills of the world on women and the white men. At what point do we acknowledge our own short comings. I mean I know the odds in America are set against us at birth but at what point do we stop letting them define us.

:what:

You must live on the fakkit side of duckburg. Women, bytches, hoes and hoodrats all gravitate towards success. fukk you talking bout?

nah, a good portion of women love when a man is not predictable and has flaws. Hell, there are some educated brothas out there that pull a Plies and act all bummy/ underachiever-ish to attract more women cause their educated demeanor is "too nice" or "too boring."

Like someone said, people in America embrace failure and underachieving as a way to be authentic and to "relate " others that are the same. Racing toward the bottom. Even in rap music, the goon that "puts in work" gets more props than a Jay-Z or someone that is openly intelligent like K-Dot.

I think failure might be too strong a word. Mediocrity, yes. A lot of caucasians(apparently cau@ is censored here) grow up around professionals, and they see them as role models, as a result its easy for them to envision becoming a professional, and not just having a job, but a career. A lot of us who live in the inner city have to walk by some old head standing outside a liquor store asking people for change, a crack head, or see hustlers in whips with expensive clothes, shoes, and attractive women. They can't see outside the confines of their environment, so their environment becomes the standard that they measure themselves by.

not all people want success bruh....some people are comfortable being a failure and passing it down to the next generation.

Yea, you really got people out here telling their kids "Never come up. The struggle is where it's at" :beli:

People may have different definitions of success but nobody is out there actively trying to fail. nikkas still out there striving to be hood rich & famous at the very least.

don't know if we've become content with failure or if our perception of success is often b*stardized. a lot of us believe success is simply having the latest clothes, car, and multiple women.

Co-sign we have to focus on building wealth and leaving a strong legacy behind because at the end of the day you cant pass down your jordan collection to your kids

Yes there are parents who tell their kids not to bother trying because the system is stacked up against them...that's why you see failures upon failures from generation to generation.

Most of our values comes from our parents.

Its not just in inner cities. I don't care if people think this is a shot or not; but you got kids in P.G. County, one of the most affluent counties in the country, majority black, who want to act like they from Anacostia in D.C. I mean, you can hear crickets chriping at night, but kids out there will mug you just for general principle.

Just because you are "educated + well to do" and still have problems w/women doesn't mean thats the norm

Everyone, including women, is looking for a come up

Yup, because the unfortunate truth is that the culture of black males has nothing to do with academic achievement and everything to do with fcking as many women as possible and violence. Even with the same economic backgrounds they are still behind their peers. :wow:

LOL @ me having problems simply talking to a woman and meeting her up something. What I described is still desirable to many weak minded women, and weak minded men follow that shyt.

America in general embraces the C student over the genius out of jealousy and lack of ability. The special olympics style education system where everybody gets a medal is what's suppressing maximum effort. It's not exactly embracing failure, but more along the lines of embracing slackery. Meeting lowered expectations is not the same as striving to fail. You might look at a cat stuck in the projects is a loser but the broads in the projects are going towards the best loser they can find.

As for the "educated brothers" out there dumming it down to attract more women...they might be book smart but are sociologically stupid. Women are attracted to confidence. Confidence comes from a strong self-esteem that comes from embracing who you really are and not :duck: all over the place.

I think this is a much deeper issue than many care to realize. I personally think that the "failure" seen is just feelings of inferiority, insecurity, ect that many black men internalize. I think it manifests in various ways though. From slavery the family unit where the black man was the leader and took change has been broken down off jump. The black male has been seen as such a threat in this country for centeries that the white man has tried very hard to tear them down and keep him down.

just my 2 cents :manny:

That is the problem. Instead of properly teaching people to be better, they teach people to be average. I remember 10 years ago, if you were a baller, you had to have that mini-mansion, a Mercedes benz, and so on. Now, cats think that if you have over $400 in your bank account, a Nissan Altima, and a i-Phone 5, you God to them. All this lowered expectations is making everything worse. Seems like when the year 2000 came, people stopped trying to be better.
