I can't say pippen was 2nd best in 96.

1. Jordan
2. Shaq
3-7 a combination of pippen, penny, grant, and GP.
I tend to agree, but in 96 I clearly remember the conversations not only among us as youngsters but even in the league of who was better and some had pippen as the best in the league. I can't find the vid on youtube but I remember when they went around and asked players who was the best in the league and some guys said pippen was better than jordan. Again I don't agree, def looking back in hindsight

But I can't ignore that pippen was a legit mvp candidate the year before mike came back and was def considered the best defender in the league. Point is pippen wouldn't have been just some role player in any series, 96 pippen you had to game plan for.

Rodman vs flabby AC Green/Horace Grant:mjlol:
Add in the fact shaq was never a dominate rebounder and Rodman would have been owning them on the glass. He was so great even though he was bad offensively you couldn't leave him and not put a body on him because if you did he would eat you up on the offensive glass.

The closest player I can recall to Rodman in terms of post D and not backing down is Chuck Hayes. Dude would not be moved downlow. Obviously different eras and the post game being watered down but Chuck Hayes post D is top 10 all time IMO.

Rodman's "double jump" never gets talked about either. Most big guys can only get off their feet once to go after a rebound. Ewing was GOOD for giving you one jump and that was it. This dude Rodman was a friggen pogo stick. this niqqas bounce after his initial jump was outta control. Shaq for as big as he was had that ability too, but not like Rodman.

He was the

I don't want to derail the thread, but how do both of these teams compare vs the Showtime Lakers? That team beat some of the best competition the league has ever seen (Pistons, Celtics, 76ers).

Magic/Worthy/Kareem and their surrounding players can give both of these teams a run also, don't know if they'd beat them, but the match-ups are pretty interesting.

Showtime Lakers beat both squads. They absolutely dominate the 2K Lakers and while the Bulls would be more competitive they still have no real shot. Too much talent. Seriously we talking James Worthy or Bob McAdoo or 20 ppg Wilkes as 3rd options vs. Toni Kukoc or who...D. Fish? Those 80's teams were loaded.

01 Lakers>96 bulls.

Stop acting like Kobe wasnt averaing 29,6,5 that year, then 30,7,6 in the playoffs.
Not to mention he averaged 37ppg vs the spurs that year who were the best defensive team in the west allowing 88ppg, and the 3rd lowest PA per game in the entire league that year.
