most of us are speculating, i think. I dont have kids thats why i say that i would be inclined to ....... But god forbid that would actually happen idk what i would do

I understand that most of this is just hypothetical . You were just honest about the fact that you don't know what you would do if you were put in that position.

An adult deciding on his own is different. I'm asking of an adult developed a disability, lets say through natural progression an adult developed severe retardation, would you make the decision to kill him to spare him from the poor quality of the remainder of his life?

I wonder if a parent or family member would "terminate" there teenage child, sister or brother that got a sereve disability or severe retardation if it was an option:jbhmm:

No I would not kill my child because I was told something that may or may not be true. I can think of 2 people I know personally who were told their child would have serious defects, but the children came out 100% healthy. Another was told the child would die soon after birth, but the kid is 10. I wonder how often that happens to others.

Even if the child would indeed have issues, it is not my place to pay someone to kill him or her.

I agree.

depends on the disability. down syndrome or fas, definetly yes.

those late term 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions are no easy thing though. i take it thats how far along u would need to be to 100% detect untreatable abnormalities.
