I’m tired of seeing her mope around all summer wearing hoodies and the same dumb ass crocs. When it was cold I had to damn near threaten her life to wear a coat. She has Jordan’s and Dunks but prefers to wear crocs everywhere? These kids are different.

Your FOURTEEN year old daughter should be at camp (sleep away or day), in a STEM summer program, Vacation Bible School if your family is in the church, even volunteering OR in training to be a camp counselor (because when I was in summer camp the 15-16 year olds were “counselors in training” and were allowed to supervise us when they turned 17/18).

She doesn’t just have to WORK; there are activities and educational pursuits that are available to her like every other kid.

This seems more about younger kids being able to ring up alcohol in like a grocery store setting.

In a restaurant setting the servers are almost always 18+ anyway.

So yeah, i don’t think it’s unfathomable that a 16 year old should be able to ring up beer at the grocery store, or an 18 year old server to bring drinks to the table
