@CHICAGO is talking like a casual box score watcher instead of actually breaking down the game. :snoop:

The man actually said the use of a Box n One wasn't about stopping Curry but to create Ball Pressure. :mjlol:

Again, Coaches and defenses TELL you by their scheme what they think of everybody on the court and how much value they give to each player. Stop listening to Media Hot takes and analyze the game you dopes.

They were doubling curry on a jump ball lol

Ball pressure where? Lol

Nurse didn’t want curry to even touch the ball.

Sorry fellas the shyt didn’t work. Because when it mattered most that gimmick defense allowed Iggy to size up a shot for 15 seconds. He was open the entire last GS possession.

:mjlol:THEY DIDNT EVEN USE THE BOX AND 1
ON THE FINAL POSSESSION DUMBASS.

THEY PLAYED MAN TO MAN
AND DOUBLED CURRY WITH IGGYS MAN.

THE ONLY BUCKET THEY SCORED IN THE FINAL
6 MINUTES CAME ON MAN TO MAN DEFENSE.

Same fukking difference. Point remains: they're conceding not to even guard the other nikkas on the court in fear of a 6'3 frail jumpshooting nikka....why yall keep trying to spin the situation as anything other than admiration is beyond me. These are other NBA players might I add u, not some AA sub state HS game

THERE WAS A 2.5 SECOND DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN THE SHOT CLOCK AND GAME CLOCK
YOU DUMB ASS nikka.

:mjlol:THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO JUST LET CURRY
DRIBBLE THE CLOCK OUT AND THROW UP A SHOT?

THE GAME WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER BY THE TIME
SOMEONE REBOUNDED THE BALL
YOU DUMB fukk.

Nah we just telling you he not the first NBA player to draw weird defensive tactics

Mind you the 2nd best defensive team in the league was guarding James Harden from BEHIND

I think Steph attracts alot of attention but I feel like his fans make it seem like its on another planet then any other player

I think what it is Steph is a willing passer and Kerr’s system allows Warrior players to play their game while Steph enforces this with Unselfish play

But no, he isn’t much different from any superstar a coach game plans against

Explain this defense brother. I never said box & 1. I just said Nick didn’t want curry shooting the ball.Pascal didn’t give a fukk about nobody but curry.

By far one the worst defense plays in a clutch situation ever

Now people have legit proof Curry gets quadruple teamed - by design.

This also ain’t a bottom feeder team, it’s a legit contender admitting it to being the most effective thing to do.

Steph Curry effect is real.

I just don't agree with extreme measures like this. It's silly. They have multiple All NBA Defenders on the Raptors and yet they feel like they had to use a Box n One to have chance? :gucci:

I really don't understand why defenses go crazy running 2 and 3 people at Curry like he's the only man on the court. The Cavs did this with a freaking 7'0 ft KD on the court and got smoked 4-1 and 4-0. These are NBA players. they will beat you just like Iggy eventually did. It's absurd. No man is that great in the NBA, no man. Why can't they just play Steph straight up. :why:

NO THATS GREAT DEFENSE...

LOOK WHERE IGGY IS ON THE COURT.

THERES NO WAY DRAY CAN GET HIM THE BALL
WITHOUT MARC STEALING THE BALL.

THE DEFENSE WORKED PERFECTLY
UNTIL KAWHI MISSED THE STEAL ON LIVINGSTON.

THE GOAL WAS TO FORCE A TURNOVER,
AN EARLY SHOT,
OR FORCE THE BALL TO IGGY
THEN FOUL HIM.

It not the same difference...the last possession they actually trapped the ball...a box in one, you deny the guy the ball(Steph) and everyone else plays an area...the last possession Siakim doubled hard...

YOU made they point that the reason Iggy was open was because of the box in one(that's what I was responding too)....and they wasn't even in that on that last possession...... he was open because of the hard double by Siakim at half court.....how is trapping someone at half court the same as playing a box at the elbow?

and plenty of posters have pointed out articles and quotes from others NBA players stating that they been guarded like that before....it's funny how ya'll making it seem like this is the first time ever...

While true I can honestly say I've never seen a team box and 1 a single player in an NBA game of this magnitude. I really dont recall anything of the such. That's extreme respect/fear(let's call it wat it is)for said player, OR the supporting cast isnt as great as advertised and they benefit GREATLY from said player...yall can not have it both
And playing a person from behind is the exact antithesis of a box and 1 my guy, I get your overall point of him not being the 1st to see strange defenses but one was designed to stop a gimmick and force a certain shot, the other is not even wanting the guy to get a look at the rim.....again, in the finals.

And I dont care how much yall say it worked...they lost the game. Lost homecourt. And now gotta go to Oracle to steal one . This isn't a victory for them on any front...they didn't protect home. Period.

I didn't make the point, I just intercepted yo interaction with the other poster. And the point remains yall just playing semantics at this point, they LOST THE GAME PAYING TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO ONE PLAYER. All this other shyt yall talking about is IRRELEVANT. They lost the 3rd doubling Steph on and off the ball as well. There is no other reason a defense of the caliber of Torontos would be giving up layup after layup after layup if not for that fact. Yall arent arguing shyt. And the series is 1-1 point blank. The Raps dropped the ball

I seen that ish, breh on a JUMP BALL. :stopitslime:That is obsessive. :snoop: Nick Nurse is not even concerned with his team getting the ball. He just wants to make sure Curry doesn't touch the ball.

This is what I'm talking about. Beyond extreme measures, pure silliness. It doesn't take all that to win. Just play ball. Curry is not THAT good. The guy was 6-17 before all this. :mindblown:

Nikkas in here mentioning flopping James Harden in the same breath as this. Curry is not scamming and using the refs to accentuate his game. :what:

These teams are doing this from Steph just playing ball not gaming the system. :aicmon:

when are these dudes going to realize this? It's about winning the game, not stopping ONE player. Even NBA coaches seem to be forgetting this.
