Totally agree.
Im not sure beadle really has anything to do with it. he wss going to catch hell regardless. Suspending him is a fukkin joke. Trying to run away from the issue and come back like.nothing happened.
Hey like someone else already said in here he said that same shyt before when the Ocho shyt happened
I mean unless ESPN and friends missed that episode Im pretty sure that pink toe twittering or whatever the hell they do had something to do with it
Thats why I stay away from that twitter shyt
Not only is it corny as hell but apparently nothing positive ever comes outa that shyt lol

I dated a girl who worked for a women's shelter, and the overwhelming majority of domestic victims were "provoking" their men by doing shyt like "talking too long with a male friend" and "forgetting something at the grocery store." We're talking meek, emotionally beat-down women. That was the common victim. That was the "face" of verbally and physically abused women; Not ratchet chicks pushing their man's buttons and escalating situations.

So yes, I do see the victim-blaming similarities and understand why Beadle made the comment she did.
Then his statement does not apply to them does it? Those men clearly were not provoked but looking for a reason to lash out at their significant others and deserve the full extent of the law thrown at them if not more. By provoke he means the latter which a lot people fail to realize exist out there or refuse to acknowledge. There are many women who instigate and provoke men into hitting they ass then cry foul and I stand by my statement breh.

Out here in my damn drawls
Telling domestic abuse victims not to "provoke" their man into beating them, is similar to the "she shouldn't have got drunk/wore that outfit" example of victim blaming that's way too common.

If we're being honest, provoking a man who you can't beat into a fight or getting pissy drunk are both terrible ideas if you're a woman

Call it victim-blaming all you want, but the reality still stands

Nah I think people can disagree and it just be that without all the extra shyt. People come from different situations and also damn near everybody is saying something similar we just not going to agree 100. Who on here done condone some Ike Turner @ them are stop with the over exaggerating. Most have said if you keep your hands to yourself you'll most likely prevent escalation of stuff like this when people are heated anyway. Nobody has serious issues even the single mother crew that have very feminine ways about what they co signing just different experiences. Now if you show me dudes really on that Ike Turner smack a chick for existing you have a point otherwise you just grandstanding my man.

Don't bother with him. He's going for the whole condescending "y'all have a fukked up way of thinking" false generalization without giving any specific examples.

But lets front like there are men's shelters full of displaced men physically abused by their women.

I'm sorry....ain't enough provoking in the world that a raised right man should react hard enough to smack a woman around. All a broad comes with (that aren't hitting) are words. A "fukk you bytch" and walking away is good enough.

Again nikkas acting like idiots in this bytch. Who said that shyt here. That's not even my argument. Even If there was a shelter for abused husbands nikkas wouldn't even go out of fear of being ridiculed by society breh. Don't most men still have they pride :mindblown:

If I was a frail nikkas and provoked you, an ex football player into whooping my ass, am I the victim? If you were to bring the fact that i antagonized you would you be victim blaming? Common man

Point is...it won't happen because we are the stronger sex.

We putting men in the same category as women now because you can add the word frail? :childplease:

Let's act like the stronger sex, breh.

But forreal whats the differenc between what stephen a said about women bringing it upon them selves vs a girl wearing a sexy skirt and provoking her rape. I know it's different , im not trolling i'm just trying to think of how to articulate that argument.

The difference is before Stephen A said the trigger word "provoke" (lolll), he made it clear at least 5 times that men have no right ever putting their hands on a woman for any reason whatsoever. He does not condone it and made it incredibly clear. He didn't say "girl if you yell at a man he has a right to hit you." That would be different, and that is sadly how ESPN treated the comment. All he said was, we all know women can't be hit and he agrees with it. But just because you can't be hit back, doesn't give you the right to make it your mission to provoke violence.

There is a heavy difference between:

A. If you provoke a man, you're asking to be hit. (not what he said, but how people view his comments)

B. Men have no business ever hitting a woman, but just because you have a vagina between your legs, doesn't mean you have a free pass to attempt to push anyone to their limits on the strength of "I can do what I want because you can't do anything to me nananana"

That's all he said and he is completely correct. Michelle Beadle being all "I'll never be clean again" on Twitter started this.... I mean are you serious..... lol.

Comparing the obvious strength difference in men and women is still not an excuse for women to hit men either.
