Jordan has ten scoring titles....ten scoring titles....ten....think about it for at least 30 seconds....ten.....7 consecutive years as scoring champion.....ten overall...led the league in scoring during each Bulls championship run....and not only that....Jordan would step up the scoring output during the playoffs and NBA Finals....Deladanova would never frustrate Jordan.

There's some truth to that, however i) I'm not saying he has a body work of comparable to Jordan i) I'm not saying this current version of Curry is a better scorer than Jordan.

All my argument is, this season (and this season only), Curry is scoring on the same level that both MJ and Kobe were at their peaks. If we're talking about a body of work/all-time context - there's plenty of players that Curry shouldn't be compared to just yet. I'm simply talking about the level he's playing at RIGHT NOW.

Which version of Jordan? Wizards? Cause if so, then yes, I agree. However, Bulls Jordan damn near averaged 40ppg, with no other star on his team AT ALL

...so when was Curry a better scorer?

Who was the best perimeter defender Jordan ever had to face?

Watch this video...the entire team defended him...this is what some people cease to understand....opposing defenses made it a team effort when defending Jordan...it wasn't just one man...and he was getting hit in his face or head when he would drive on certain teams...like my beloved Knicks....

Please note the amount of physical contact.

I agree. MJ was that nikka. I just asked who were the great perimeter defenders of his era.

Cats want to talk that "If Jordan played in today's era" well:

Let's also not forget that the 3pt line would've been shorter if Curry played in the 90's.

Dude would be pulling up literally 10+ feet behind the 80's/90's 3 pt line like nothing.

Grew up watching Jordan and Kobe and them being my favorite players. I'm just really trying to be objective here. I have all three of these cats along with Hakeem and Shaq on the same level, which is higher than everybody else.

Perimeter defenders? Michael Cooper (played during Jordan's first 7 seasons), Joe Dumars, Alvin Robertson, Sidney Moncrief, Gary Payton, Nate McMillan, 6'1 John Stockton (Yes, John Stockton, see 10x all-star, 2x steals leader, 5x NBA All-Defensive team, NBA All-Time steals leader), Rodman during the late 80's was able to play great perimeter defense and thus was left with the task of guarding Jordan a lot as well.

And when Jordan got by those guys he had Ewing, Robinson, Olajuwon, Mourning, Mutumbo and Shaq waiting at the rim.

Remember, the names of a lot of defensive-only players from 20-25 years ago aren't going resonate as loudly today....just like the Bowens and Tony Allens of the world won't resonate with people 25 years from now.

Jordan also had success against the good defensive players of the early 2000s, particulary Ron Artest and Shawn Marion...and I believed he dropped 43 on Kenyon Martin as a 39 year old.

Rodman was a perimeter defender?

Yes!

and he guarded Shaq better than anyone ever has in history, during the 1996 NBA Playoffs, when Phil had him defend the center position (for a bunch of plays, not entire games).

Rodman was an elite-level defensive player who was able to defend against different positions, if asked to.

I can't say someone is a better scorer unless they score more on average.

Mj averaging less than 30 is an unusual season for him.

Curry averaging more than 30 is a rare, I think he only done once or twice.
