That's crazy, this shyt is unacceptable, was it widely heard at the time?

well i was only 7 so i dont know about that lol but i assume it was not because when i started following hip hop in later years in all the info about em's rise in the industry it was never brought up. when they did mention lauryn hill it would only be tied to his controversial lyrics and using her as an example with him having that line about her on "role model" on his first album...

but yeah if someone reuploaded this in 2015 and it spread like wildfire on twitter...tumblr....facebook dude would be roasted. those comments in the link above on worldstar from black and white people are the exact things we would hear.

look at the comment "courtney" makes about Eminem at the top of the page where she says "Blacks are jealous Eminem has dominated rap" :mjlol:

man i really just want someone to be brave in 2015 and mention the racist tapes AND the lauryn hill comments

Yeah, that would be dope, only person I remember consistently coming at Eminem with no fukks given is K-Rino, but definitely would be good to get someone mainstream do it, but don't think that's gonna happen...

i thought all of you guys knew about this :manny:

its even more strange because we all know he was down with outsidaz...

where rah digga is a member of the group...his relationship with them was like nas to wu tang...wasn't an actual member but an unofficial one and was always repping them originally...

rah digga was on "cowboys" on the score album and i believe is/was close friends with lauryn and both are from jersey...

so i wonder if this ever actually came up..with pacewon calling out eminem months back about how he forgot about him, i wonder if someone can get him if he has a twitter to bring up the lauryn hill situation with eminem and if rah digga confronted him about that.

em's success came from white people, not blacks.

and people caping for mj are weird. He was the biggest self-hating weirdo we've had in music, but somehow he's still black excellence to most of you :mjlol:

Uh...No. If that were the case someone like Vanilla Ice woulda took off.

White rappers have always had unnecessary white consumer support. Their support almost always exceeds their talent level. However, none of them was ever able to break the barrier that led to unanimous success in hip hop.

Em blew because he was the first white rapper with a major black co-sign. From the underground/cypher/freestyle circuit, to the mainstream level, no blacks in the music and entertainment industry co-signed an artist the way they did Em. Without that co-sign, Em doesn't make it. His first few releases prove that to be true. He needed a gimmick and a Dr. Dre beat just to get in the door.

Dre wasnt poor. Re-read Wonder's statement. He makes it seem like poor blacks made Em popular which isnt true at all.

People didnt big up underground Em for no reason. He had skills.

No, he was saying that you became a rich superstar off the blacks of black folks, (which is true, considering that Hip-Hop exists because of black culture) so it's in poor taste to attack a black icon who helped inspire and pioneer modern black music. What he said does have merit, especially since MJ hasn't said or done anything to Em to justify it. Em has done this before to Will Smith, which was also in poor taste.

Whenever a white person involves himself in something that is stereotyped for blacks, he's going to get extra credit for it, even if his actual talent level isn't the same.
