So... because in the 90's they worked with less and made more, we're suppose to put an asterisk on '00 production? Nah.

Only thing better production wise in the 90's were the drums .

@hex

You do know Pharrell and Timbaland were producing hits in the early/mid 90s right? Moreso for R&B artists but nonetheless

Yeah but then the argument becomes, which is better their 90's beats or their '00 beats. And I'm not trying to handicap the people arguing against me.

Dilla is a 90's producer. Dude produced more from '95-2000 than he did in the entirety of his later solo career.

Alc and Madlib technically debuted in the 90's but we can let that slide.

I would put prime Dungeon Family (Organized Noize and Earthtone III) beats up against anything from the south 00's.

It's not that the 00's were wack....but it's being compared to a time when not only did every region have their own sound, every region was arguably at their peak.

Dilla produced alot of heat in the 2000's though...doesn't matter if he was a 90's producer....Premiere also produced alot of good shyt in the 2000's as well...this isn't just producers from 2000's were talking about....we're are talking about production overall...

Yes, if the question is "could producer A do what producer B did in a different era?"

I didn't even start that line of reasoning, I just responded to it.
