Student Loans shouldn't be forgiven. We should focus on cost.

LOL Why are you trying to get into specific situations? If the forgiveness amount is $10k, the one with the lesser degree still owes $5k and the other owes $40k :manny: I'd feel more ridiculous cutting everyone a check in the amount of forgiveness, as you've suggested in the past.
i support the 10k :yeshrug: and i went further with cutting everyones balance in half. you owe 50 right now, you should owe 25 tomoro with no interest

but the blanket "up to 50k" tho? sorry, doesnt make sense to me for the reasons ive stated. i know that makes me a bad person :mjcry:

The Godverse
The rich get their massive tax cuts and loopholes around paying their share, corporations get massive tax breaks and grants, the poor get generous government benefits, all while the middle class stays getting nothing. Forgive that debt!:wow:. Don't relent because some salty brehs were absent on cupcake day. At least they know people that will benefit from this.

For the sake of this discussion. Who is middle class? Because I'm almost certain that those individuals also get something.

i said "there were positives to the tax cuts" and you turned it into me supporting the tax cuts

intellectual banktuptcy :mjlol:

Follow me here genius. I know you working with extra chromosomes. There....are....just....as many....if...not....more....positives....to...canceling...student...loan...debt. This whole thread you been :pacspit: at the thought but when it came to Trump’s tax cuts, you were suddenly willing to to see the big picture :scust: Your argument doesn’t even make sense if you truly cared about stimulating the economy as canceling the debt of average everyday Americans would provide a bigger jolt to the economy than giving the 1% more money at a time where 20 men have as much money as the bottom 50 percent of Americans. Everything you write is disingenuous. How are you not deep in the red :scust:

i cant be bothered with this double digit IQ posting. you're inventing a scenario where i said that forgiving student loan debt didnt have any positive benefits, when that has never happened :yeshrug:

you embarrassed yourself. i dont care if you dont like my opinions, but you're in here creating and embellishing shyt i never said just so you can argue with me :mjlol:

Creating and embellishing by quoting what you yourself posted :martin: You’re a troll. You’ll say something one minute then say you never said it ten minutes later. I made the mistake of thinking you debated in good faith. My bad. Go back to trolling.

Keep trolling. I’m quoting what you wrote short bus. I’ve reiterated my point numerous times. You all :pacspit: when it comes to student loans being canceled but when it came to tax cuts for the rich, it was a different story :smugfavre: Keep cacing. Keep trolling :umad:

are you guys really gonna act like the tax cut did nothing to spur hiring? cutting some costs and regulations does nothing to spur hiring? that's just embarrassing :childplease:

President Donald J. Trump is Giving Small Businesses a Boost | The White House

  • Under the House tax reform bill, businesses organized as sole proprietors, S corporations, or partnerships would have their top marginal tax rate capped at 25 percent for qualified business income.
    • This would be the lowest top marginal tax rate in more than 80 years.
    • Over 99 percent of American businesses are incorporated as one of these “pass-through” firms and currently face a top Federal marginal tax rate of 39.6 percent.
  • Under the House bill, small businesses that file a joint return would have their first $75,000 of income taxed at a low rate of 9 percent.
  • Under the Senate bill, businesses organized as sole proprietors, S corporations, and partnerships would be able to deduct 17.4 percent of their qualified business income with some restrictions on high-income households.
  • For the next five years, American businesses will be able to immediately write off the full cost of their heavy equipment and other capital investments.

in HL, you arent allowed to point out that the tax cut has some positive benefits. i was thinking of making a thread about this, but it would have gotten me warned or bushed :mjlol:

:mjlol: thats two free months of rent for me. that's not "nothing"

I mean i know im not allowed to appreciate more money in my bank from a tax cut because donald trump did it, but it's gonna be a hard argument for you to make swing state voters :yeshrug:

the problem with what you're saying is that when you cut taxes, on the rich or whoever, they arent being "given" anything. they're keeping more of their own money :yeshrug: we can have an argument about how much they should keep, and how much you want to redistribute, and i'd probably mostly agree with you

im not voting for trump, im voting for whoever the democrat is. all i said was that i didnt mind the tax cut, and im sure a lot of people in america didn't either. i don't think that's an incorrect statement
