It's why they go into debt for it and it's why they build their whole world around it. For some they at least get a great job with great pay out of it. For a segment it's just a crutch.

I apologize, I realize my use of the term "provider" may have indicated that black women didn't work. I was more so speaking of how black men made the bulk/majority of money in the household and now that is reversed and that's if he works at all. Of course this does not apply to all. The movie "Hoop Dreams" gives an account of what I may be trying to poorly explain. A lot of the attitudes and positions that black women adopt are out of necessity.

White men didn't have to go to war to prove they were men, Black men wanted to prove to white people that they were men, not their families that already knew they were men before left the shores of America. Women that centered their lives around men in times past didn't have many options which is just the way men like it which is exactly why there's so much longing for the good old days where women couldn't get by unless they were tied to men. Women that are powerless in their relationships have to basically shut up and eat their food, they can't exercise the right to leave if their husbands cheat or treat them like shyt. Lets stop pretending that the arrangements your seniors tell you about weren't shytty.

Women are well-within their rights to want what they want and to want a partner that matches what they bring to the table.

The disconnect and subsequent struggles in the dating world come because what the genders/races value in a quality partner are different. If I'm trying to pursue somebody and she tells me that she makes this, wants to do that, etc... that's cool and all, and I'll see that as "OK, I have to be on this level to get a shot at her" but ... while I can objectively recognize the potential and how that would make her a good partner, her earning power or professional success is not what draws me to her, you know?

A lot of these women are stupid and have no clue what makes them desirable to the opposite sex and what makes them a good woman. I like successful women but I’m not going to congratulate you for doing what you’re supposed to do. A lot of these broads want a medal or something.

Being successful is just one part of the puzzle and that shyt doesn’t even matter to a lot of men. Problem is a lot of women think that is all thry need to do to Be desirable. Not even close.

I know plenty of successful single women. Ask them why they’re single and thry will blame it on men. They’re too lost to look in the mirror.

I highly value intelligence and the ability to carry a conversation in a woman. This in conjunction with femininity, physical attractiveness and nurturing personality is what I'd want in a woman.


So I suppose in the minority on here in actually wanting a woman whose educated.

However, unnecessarily clinging to your so-called success as a trump card is ironically is the hallmark of being a superficial birdbrain and insecure. So it goes both ways. Any man of substance and success is not going to be impressed by that.

If her personality sucks or the attractiveness isn't there, the salary and degree don't matter because I already have that. Even if I didn't have it, it'd still be a deal breaker.
