This is personal nitpick tho no?

The movie doesn’t establish nor make it significant through dialogue that he’s a 30 year old grown man.

We are to believe he’s somewhat self sufficient, has a girlfriend & has a tendency to be defensive (ie: the internet trolls). I thought he did articulate his points fairly well Lois just disagreed with him.
I think Clark Kent is always a 30 something when he gets to Metropolis, or at least in his very late 20s.

None of the Justice Gang can hold up a skyscraper or giant Kaiju monster like how Superman did. None of the Justice Gang has Supes strength or speed - not even remotely.

Ultraman was a clone of Superman (except being dumber), and notice how none of the Justice Gang directly fought Ultraman.
Only time Superman got the beats was when he was fighting a clone that was stronger than him and had Lex running the playbook like Belichick.

He did properly articulate his decisions. Lois claims why he didn't go through the proper government channels before doing what he does.

Supes says people were going to die, and I don't need to wait for the government's approval. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

:manny:

He would have not got emotional if he was articulating/defending his decisions the way you are saying he was.

Lois would have also looked DUMB after that scene.

Instead the opposite happened.

Superman threw tantrums, repeatedly attacked Lois's character and started screaming.

"The Bavarian government is bad" - Lois asks him "how do we know?" he has no answer.

Lois says the government say they are trying to free the people. Superman's response is "they of all people are saying this?"

Superman says he got involved because "people were going to die" Lois asks him if he thought of the implications of his actions AFTER. He has no answer other than "people were going to die". "I was doing good".

Superman needed to actually speak in depth. What makes it worse is that Superman as Clark Kent is meant to be a REPORTER himself. He should have had nothing BUT FACTS to state to Lois.

Oh yea of course, but that’s us just knowing the character. The script/director has to still establish that if someone was going to criticize Clark.

Why are you leaving out Metamorpho who literally depowered Superman :dahell:

Green Lantern doesn't have super strength with ring? :dahell:

Mr Terrific literally has trackers in Superman's body and blew up the monster after analyzing it to find it's weakness. He would not do the same to Superman?

They would WASH this Superman.

Metamorpho is not an original member of the Justice Gang. Also, Metamorpho was coerced into turning his hand into Kryptonite.

Green Lanterns are not even remotely as powerful as Superman, even with their rings.

Mr. Terrific's trackers would do nothing but temporarily subdue Supes. Also, in a fight, Supes would turn Mr. Terrific into a pile of blood mist in 2 seconds, lol.

What movie were you watching :dahell:

“The Justice Gang” would take down Superman in this universe :dahell:

I think that would depend on the circumstances of the fight. It's always been based on what state Supes was in. If he's pissed off and not worried about saving squirrels and shyt then I think he'd whoop their asses. Otherwise, yeah they can contain him. I think he coulda took out the Engineer easily if he wanted to, Ultraman is a different story.

What facts could he have used to change the fact that his involvement in an international conflict, against an American ally, without government authorization, would cause problems?

His points regarding the bavarian government.

This is why I compare and contrast the synder versions so much. I see all of the hypocrisy:russ:

Im not even a Snyder stans, but I do love Man Of Steel. And my number one defense of MOS/Cavil Superman is he's just figuring all this shyt out. Everyone is. What's nikkas miss when they get mad about the Jesus allegory is Snyder is not directly calling Superman Jesus, he's showing how people realistically would react to Superman and his struggles with those reactions. He wants to be human, but when it all boils down nikkas are not gonna treat him like one of the guys

That said, Both Cavil and Corenswets Supermen are the same age. But who gets all the grace and "He needs time to grow?"

If we talking about regular development cool but let's not lose the fact that both are 30 year old men

Even funnier tho is im realizing even Miles Morales, a teenager, is more mature than this Superman:pachaha:

Yeah that Superman had the excuse of being a day 1 superman.

This Superman is 3 years in.

They said his ship crashed 30 years ago at the start of the movie :what:

Irrc his rebuttal was that Lois knew the Boravian govt was full of shyt, but she was playing devils advocate.

And he literally didnt have an answer. Because of course involving himself would have political implications. But he cant imagine letting innocent people die be the better alternative.

I know with the last iteration the point was made that "maybe" its okay to let children die, if saving them is going to create too much drama. But things are different now.

Hopefully all of you can come along with us as we make this transition to colors and uncomprimising kindness:respect:

Good movie.

Mr Terrfic kind of stole the spotlight.

James Hoult is a wack lex Luther, he has no gravitas

Krypto was the 2nd favorite

Stile not sold on this guy as superman, he’s still kind of dorky

Lois and him had 0 chemistry, i wasn’t really buying into the relationship. It was like one of those things where she hates Clark but is turned on by superman.
