So, companies, already struggling to find labor, are going to voluntarily enforce a policy (which they don't have to), that will further crush their bottom lines  ?

A lot of companies are definitely going to shrug off the Supreme Courts ruling and enforce the mandate anyways :yeshrug:

Let's not sit here and pretend like major companies take OSHA serious with their paltry fines and was doing it out of fear of paying the fines. OSHA didn't have the manpower or resources to enforce the mandate anyways and everybody should have known that. It was always going to be dependent on the snitch hotline.

I had covid over a year ago and beat it in under 24 hours. It was a joke. Since then I've done next to nothing to keep from getting it again and it hasn't happened. Don't reply to me on this issue again. You don't have anything of worth that I'd want to hear.

Doesn't matter as companies are going to enforce the mandate anyways. The Biden Administration was well aware that it wasn't going to pass by how long they took to craft the guidelines. They just needed to put the threat out there to scare employers to enforcing it.

It's amazing people didn't look at the bigger picture and realize what was going on.
yea if things get out of control they can point the finger at them

Eh, Healthcare workers should be mandated to take it. The last thing a hospital needs is one of their workers getting a patient sick, and that patient potentially dying.

1. It's a leaky vaccine, it doesn't stop transmission.

2. These healthcare workers either have natural immunity and are vaccinated. It doesn't make sense to continually force them to bi-annual boosters, like they soon will probably do.

3. We know that the majority of ppl who get it don't get hospitalized, plus there are a variety of ways to greatly reduce your odds of hospilaztion (boost your immune system, get in shape, treatments like monoclonals and covid pills).

It's silly to force that 26 y/o healthy nurse to take multiple boosters, when she might have better odds w/ covid than her 3x vaxxed 70 yo hospital admin that has a comorbidity.

The notion that unvaccinated health care workers should be anywhere near patients is an alarming negligent belief.

Its not about who is more at risk or taking care of yourself. Its about the safety of the patient by any means necessary while minimizing the risk from the hospital.

Do you know what a leaky vaccine is? It's kinda irresponsible to go around saying that.

the angle on this was that the big corporations wanted this mandate all along as it took the responsibility out of their hands and made the mandate come from the government (likely protecting them from litigation costs)
the mandate and the cdc quarantine adjustment both helped big corporations force ppl back to work. will be interesting to see if corporations basically keep the mandates going or not on their own
It just doesn't make good business sense to have sick employees.

You hire people who don't want to get the shot, you don't refuse service to people who aren't masked, distancing and vaccinated. Your business will literally pay the price when your workers inevitably call in sick and customers don't come back as often cause they got laid out by the virus.
