The majority of companies are not struggling that heavily with productivity, it's largely just the lowest paid, most public-facing service and low-rung manufacturing positions that are struggling. So, companies, already struggling to find labor, are going to voluntarily enforce a policy (which they don't have to), that will further crush their bottom lines and productivity?
CBAs don't work like that, and your job does not have to yield to vaccination request. Now that the Supreme Court has made their decision I’m waiting on that email from the union at my job letting all members know that we don’t have to get vaccinated and we don’t have to worry about getting fired if we don’t get tested every week.
I work for a major university and it sounds like all the union members that work on the main campus should be good but all the union members that work at the hospital will still have to get the shot or get a medical or religious exemption or lose their job.
The union at my job fought the required vaccine shot that university wanted everybody… I’m talking… student, factually and staff… to get at the beginning of the school year. So… at the beginning of the school year everybody was required to get the shot but not us union members because it didn’t say anywhere in our bargained for contract that we were require to get a vaccine shot to work at the university.
But when the president came with that last federal vaccine mandate… we got a email from our union stating that it overrides our union contract. But now since it’s been struck down by the Supreme Court we should be right back to where we were. Well… all of us besides the union members that work at the hospital.
When I get that email from my union I’ll come back to this thread and let those interested know what it says.
Companies ain't trying to get hit with a lawsuit. Safety guidelines have to be created and follow to protect the health of employees. So, companies, already struggling to find labor, are going to voluntarily enforce a policy (which they don't have to), that will further crush their bottom lines and productivity?
How effective is a fence at keeping out intruders if 1/3 of it is full of huge, gaping holes???
Another L for shyt for brainspeople really thought this shyt was gonna take effect people already struggling to find workers now you want them to check medical records.

How are their infection rates higher than states where the intruders are running free?
