Projections rising which means this shyt is being well received by fans and casuals. Too bad she's a head case, she could really dominate if she had the drive of Beyonce/Rihanna/Taylor/etc who push through shyt and just go go go. Tour, extended tour, major awards shows, major video releases etc etc...I just don't think she can do that, and I legit don't think she'll finish her tour.

you're framing is wrong, people expected kendrick to do alot more...with the right follow up, k dot should've done 400-600k easy, he dropped a dud. SZA is about where she should be, Summer - her closest r&b competition - did 190k, SZA is much bigger than summer so it's easy to expect her to have done 250k+. SZA's ceiling is Kendrick's floor if that makes sense - he put out a dud while she's put out a record that matches the anticipation over the last 3 years ...the numbers make complete sense

Just my opinion based on how she's been moving over the last few years on social media, including her weird promo appearances for this album. She sounds depressed as fukk, doesn't sound like she fukks with the album, etc. Maybe the sales will make her realize she's good...maybe not.

Beyonce is Beyonce, but SZA outselling Beyonce isn't surprising considering Beyonce is pretty much 20 years into a solo career and over 40. They aren't making songs for the same demographic.

Summer Walker is inflated on here. SZA's album from years ago has been outperforming Summer's.

Summer Walker isn't on notice... these two run the cohort of current r&b chicks (along with Jhene), SZA is a notch above popularity wise, but neither endangers the other and given they've worked together and don't seem adversarial, there's nothing to manufacture to make people "choose sides". both are head cases, but if they had the work ethic and media training artists used to have in the 60s-00s, they'd easily be on top for the long run
