Dude clearly let it be known he was trying to fukk and NOT just hanging out. She wasnt coming there to fukk so she shut it down. I see nothing wrong with how either handled it. Now no one is wasting the other's time and knows what the other is on.

THIS! Once you get to a certain level of experience you realize that there isn't much you can say or do to change a womans already made up mind on whether shes going to fukk you or not. It goes both ways--if she was going to fukk you, there is nothing you can do to fukk it up, sans act crazy. And there is nothing you can do to talk yourself into p*ssy, sans something happening that puts the girl in a vulnerable state where you could have an opportunity. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, especially if you're dealing with a girl looking for something specific, such as a specific type of guy; then you definitely talk yourself out of it

They do, but in this instance this chick was not about to do anything. But for the most part she either is going to fukk you, not fukk you or wait until the time is right (when you're no longer a backup). One must be weary too because of women have skeletons and ghosts and at times will compared you to someone else, many times negatively. Remind them of an ex lover and any little thing you say or do will be scrutinized. Again, in this instance she wasn't going to fukk but was waiting on validation. Typically talking yourself out of p*ssy means she was waiting to validate something and wasn't going to do anything anyhow. Just my opinion.
