Breh...you're mixing up things. You said "Africans have been speaking European languages for hundreds of years" which SIMPLY IS NOT TRUE. The slaves you're talking about were brought OUT of Africa to the Americas, where they eventually had to learn those languages, true. But this thread is about languages IN AFRICA, not about slaves in the Americas.
In Africa, European languages were only imported with the colonization, and as I stated that only started at the end of the 19th century. And, again, mostly used by the elites and in the cities. You make it sound like random villagers in Southern Chad have been speaking french for 400 years. Slavery and colonization are two different things (and yes, forced labor under the colonization can arguably be considered a form of slavery, but, again, colonization only started at the end of the 19th century).

idk. i think it goes both ways because i also heard that china pushed english since like 1980 but in the last couple years its on the decline. i still dont think theres any disputing english being an asset in this day and age
