Well we don't have to speculate. We can read it for ourselves in the documents surrounding the constitutional convention. When asked why certain aspects of the government were set up a certain way, why certain wording was used in the proposed constitution, some of the founders called it a "refinement." That's the word they used. It's all right there in the anti-federalist papers.

The electoral college is a "refinement." A check against the people making the "wrong" decision.

It's a little more complicated. Jews had the backing of certain European monarchies until those monarchs incurred 'enough' debt. That's when they start getting ran out. But initially, they have govt' backing. No king is gonna let a money lender just set up shop. There are dues to be paid.

They made a concentrated effort to get a ban on usury taken off the books in a certain country, immediately putting that country in debt

Then they would get kicked out of that country but they would already be financially stronger than when they entered the country

After doing that a couple times it didnt matter what a government did because they would just orchestrate conflicts to drain money from countries and force said countries to borrow money at interest
