The worst haters that any public figure can have are former fans. They know all your history, all your changes, and failures throughout the years.

Howard Stern is a good example. A lot of his original fans turned on him after he got softer in his old age. They felt like he became everything he used to make fun of.

I subscribe to the HS subreddit, and they be frying him nonstop. and for good reason. his show went to complete over the last few years to the point where its nothing but boring interviews and nonstop fakkitry

Tariq really only has two options.


-Return all of the money to each and every individual who donated.

-Find another plot/property that’s similar to the initial location that was intended. This includes providing receipts and being transparent about the costs AND price for the other property.

*Once the property is purchased (whether it’s the original Crenshaw or not), he should be providing receipts to those who’ve donated regardless. It isn’t wise to do in the beginning or before the paperwork is official because people would definitely try to sabotage the museum. But he’s gonna have to show some docs or statements eventually. I’m talking showing the exact costs and where every dollar is going.


I didn’t donate because I felt like he was crowdfunding to build an asset (the museum) that would primarily only provide HIM with even more wealth. Who’s going to be on the deed/title? Who/what is going to own that museum and property exactly? Besides the necessary maintenance (employees, taxes and bills included), who’s going to pocket the admission fees? Who do all of the artifacts belong to?

I’d love to see it built though. I’ll definitely be visiting if it’s accomplished and completed. It just isn’t going to be built on my dime and in these circumstances. Won’t catch me donating to build generational wealth for someone else’s children when I have my own that I currently bust my ass to provide for.

Great post. Myself and a lot of other posters brought up your concerns that I bolded and we got called haters, immigrant tethers, and all kinds of stuff. It’s apparently illegal to ask questions when things are looking fugazi. It’s the classic Pastor-congregation dynamic. Close your eyes, hold your nose, and do what he tells you.

Outside of the money which would take million(S) with an S..... there's alot of strings you have to pull to get certain artifacts, paintings, sculptures, etc in the museum. Its Politics
And the Real Estate can't be put anywhere. Because if you have expensive artifacts, Investors/Banks won't put up money if the neighborhood isn't in a decent area. So the real estate will never be cheap

Plus the maintenance of a Museum month to month ain't easy, because you might have certain artifacts/paintings with the right air quality and lighting which is $$$$

He should have just kept making his DVDs and done his radio show. Maybe even a real feature film eventually. But he might be over his head on this one
