The National Museum of African American History and Culture in DC cost $540 million to build and open.

It took 30 years and acts of Congress to make it happen.

Maybe Tariq needs to consult with Lonnie Bunch, who actually built the DC museum. He wrote a whole book about the experience.

A Fool's Errand: Creating the National Museum of African American History and Culture in the Age of Bush, Obama, and Trump
by Lonnie G. Bunch III

Founding Director Lonnie Bunch's deeply personal tale of the triumphs and challenges of bringing the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture to life. His story is by turns inspiring, funny, frustrating, quixotic, bittersweet, and above all, a compelling read.

In its first four months of operation, the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture surpassed one million visits and quickly became a cherished, vital monument to the African American experience. And yet this accomplishment was never assured. In A Fool's Errand, founding director Lonnie Bunch tells his story of bringing his clear vision and leadership to bear to realize this shared dream of many generations of Americans.

Outlining the challenges of site choice, architect selection, building design, and the compilation of an unparalleled collection of African American artifacts, Bunch also delves into his personal struggles--especially the stress of a high-profile undertaking--and the triumph of establishing such an institution without mentors or guidebooks to light the way. His memoir underscores his determination to create a museum that treats the black experience as an essential component of every American's identity.

This inside account of how Bunch planned, managed, and executed the museum's mission informs and inspires not only readers working in museums, cultural institutions, and activist groups, but also those in the nonprofit and business worlds who wish to understand how to succeed--and do it spectacularly--in the face of major political, structural, and financial challenges.

I'm sure he was aware of the book. But if he said it might take 30 years and 540 million chances are he wouldn't have gotten the first million.

It cant be stated enough. That all the Tariq naysayers literally have the same investment as his Fans,"supporters" and Stans

Nikkas are literal stans in its purest form. Like as in "Stan" in the actual eminem music video-Stans

Sitting in here hate watching and typing:mjlol:

Take out the pencil scribble sound effect from the video and replace it with keyboard pounding:mjlol:

Nikkas be responding to shyt in his videos, that you have to invest an hour and 30 minutes to hear in the first place

There's things I like wit dude and things I don't. I keep it moving. The investment some of ya place is astounding

You all would be right along for "his latest grift" If he wasn't such a big meanie towards immigrants

Everything was all good as long as he was doing it under the banner of pan-africanism

Now ya use him as a smokescreen to issue out your disdain and grievances for Aframs

purposely misrepresenting the movement in the process. None of you mfers have the moral high-ground in this

Its evident in the fact that you all purposely misconstrue his movement with the Ados yvette movement

For yall it doesn't matter. Its the notion of aframs distinguishing themselves, that you're after

Fake as hell. Why don't you idiots try ignoring him

You been licking the ash off his ankles for so long so know its hard:mjlol:
Exactly, friend.

It funny how people forget that Stan was a fan first…just like these anti-FBA tethers.

I have said the same thing. But he sure loves to throw out bed wench, hoe, c00n, N-word and etc at black folks...:wow:
As a longtime listener of his yall do have a point. Back when he took calls, he'd roast his Black callers, but when a White supremacist phoned in to troll the show he'd treat them more politely than his Black callers. I never got that. He said he was "teaching" his listeners how to debate a White supremacist and defeat their talking points.

That happens everyday in real estate. I’m looking for a house i like a house. When i want to make a move on it next week. It’s not on the market anymore.
There weren't any disclaimers in the campaign. Again had he said Give me the money and I'll build a mueseum at a unspecified time in the future he probably wouldn't have gotten the milly. He said if I don't get it in a month I'll return the money. He magically recieved the money at the last minute. He said he wanted it to be built in Crenshaw.

He could always rent out a building temporarly and stock it if he wanted to deliver something a reasonable time frame.

Umar could temporarily house his school in another building until the building he has is fully renovated. The FDMG academy and the Hidden History Mueseum could totally happen, but if the ribbon cutting ceremony happens in August 8 2048 they'd be seen as frauds eventhough the building were actually built.

Because the 200 was a bribe. I don't actually want full citizenship if I can't have dual citizenship and open myself up to tax liabilty. I don't think that Tanzania has a double taxation law with the US.

I'll make the citizenship decision when I get a brick and mortar business running.

Africa is low key worried about handing out citizenhip willy nilly because they are low key worried about foriegn flags get 6 thousand of so people on code with say about 20 or so million in assets and they could dominate the local politics.

You see something you don't like, you find out your wrong and you stick your fingers in your ears, close your eyes and say "It's not there! It's not real!".:damn:

Instead of acting like a rational adult, you choose to act like an emotional fukking child to defend a hustler's integrity. :whoo:

Absolutely astounding.:whoo:
