It’s by design. They’re deliberatetly underpaid, because a teacher who’s well paid enjoys their job and does it well, which would make our public more informed and learned than is appropriate in a democracy like ours. So, public education is underfunded, denied the resources on which the annual production of a healthy and critically adept student body depends. This is also why there is such a push for vouchers and charter schools, privatized education that prioritizes profit over teaching children anything worthwhile beyond devotion to the state and its exceptionalism.

For emphasis.

Same mfs that tell the teachers to stop complaining or get a better job will complain that said people stopped complaining got a better job and now things are even worse collectively. I hate these checker playing ass niqqas.

I no longer complain about teachers being underpaid.

because i have noticed that at every institution where the teachers are paid well, the tuition is super expensive and unaffordable for most students.

can't have it both ways unfortunately. them broke ass teachers give an opportunity for broke ass students to get educations.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the future, physical schools begin to start to get done away with in favor to online programs. With a possible return child labor.

With all the blatant anti-intellectualism and sexualized agendas being blatantly pushed in our current system, lawmakers will have leverage on both sides to make changes. Not to mention the lockdowns.

All schooling will be online in the future. College campuses will be for events.

depends heavily where you are. In NYC, you won't ever get rich being a teacher, but the benefits are really good like health, pension, and you can always work in the summer for extra money. There are teachers that retire with 6 figure pensions.

Teaching can pay handsomely depending on the state. More brehs need to consider it, honestly. More job security than other industries.
Teachers are very well paid in Chicago and other cities. Overpaid in my opinion, especially here. But some places, they are underpaid I imagine. But only some. And that depends on the cost of living in that area and comparable salaries of other professionals.
