They're just trying to justify capital expenditures into AI. And the video platform that doesn't make them most of their money is a good guinea pig for that to see what happens. They were also certain AI would replace mid level engineers by 2025. Certain that AI would increase developer productivity by like 10x. Both of those things have been shown to be untrue. When the issues start happening they'll start calling some of those people they laid off back.if those numbers are true they've gone all in. that suggests that they are pretty certain it will work in that division.
