Playing today made me realize why I took a 4 year break from this game. It’s immensely frustrating to not be good or even decent at this shyt and have no real path to getting there. :francis: If you played as a kid you have such a leg up

Have you filmed your swing bro? It helps out a lot. Stick with it

Shot 80/75 this weekend. Same course both days, both from the "tips" which doesn't mean shyt on this course tbh.

Doubled the 18th to blow my best round of the year :snoop: It is a 230-yard par 3, but the ditch I hit it in was only 100 yards in front of me lol

What balls are you all playing right now? [][]

Cause these new Vice Pro Plus are :ohlawd:

I play (re)load and usually try to find a bucket of Bridgestone's if they're available.

I lose too many to try anything new :mjcry:

I’m a chromesoft guy. But I don’t really buy them much. I lose my shyts far too often too. Wall Mart got a dozen titleist for 9.99. Obviously not pro-v 1’s, but they’re soft enough. And damn sure cheap enough. So they’re my go-to’s.

I've played Vice and Snell from the direct-to-consumer brands and have been impressed with both. But I'm in love with the neon Vice.

And getting 5 dozen for $125 is impossible to beat for a top of the line 4-piece ball.

Haven't bought golf balls in years. I typically find enough Pro V1s or higher end golf balls still in good shape while I'm out there playing (typically in out of bounds areas). I also come across some high end balls at the golf course range I go to.

My game isn't consistent enough for me to invest in high end balls. Maybe if I shoot under 80 consistently and getting new high end balls will make a difference in shooting close to par.

Snell Golf Balls. Owner was original creator of Pro V1. $32 per dozen but very close to Pro V1 in terms of performance and I can always tell which ball is mine.

Slowest round I ever played was with some pro v1s, made sure I left with every one of those expensive mfers. #NoBallLeftBehind :mjpls:

Yeah I'm not a good enough golfer for those high end balls. Pro V-1, Pro V-1x, TP 5’s and other tour balls can actually hurt your game if you don’t swing right. They’re made for low handicappers. Tour balls spin more, and since I tend to hit a strong fade (slice), a tour ball will just make it slice more and lose distance. Better off with more forgiving equipment until I improve my game.

Any of you guys used mScorecard app? I installed that and used it the first time this weekend. It was really helpful to get distances to greens since i couldn't use my range finder because of a fog. It's also got a feature where you track each shot and record your distances. It was a wet morning so i didn't get any rolls on my drives, but i was getting 280+ with drives that I hit in play.

I use ProV1’s but I’ve never actually bought them myself. I always get a dozen every year from my sister in law for Christmas and I normally find someone when I play....you just gotta know the spots to look. I was playing in a tournament last month...hit my tee shot OB in the trees to the left...second tee shot in down the middle. I was in the woods for a few mins and found 5 ProVs all in good shape. If my group wasn’t calling for me I would have stayed in there for like 10 mins :damn:

I have a Garmin Approach A6 I got off Amazon for like $120 four summers ago. Totally Changed the way I play...I pay more attention to how far a have to the front and back of the green then I do to the middle. You can measure off distances on the A6 too and add them to your club averages.

I use SwingU. Never had the need for a range finder. Pretty rare I don't have a distance within 5 yards or so. Only when I have no clue where the pin is, depth wise. Plus, I like using the shot tracker to walk off the distance on my bombs off the tee :lawd:
