I'm not sure that this would've happened even if it was in front of a better crowd.

Yes, a better crowd would have made this look more legit, but the fact that Reigns is getting split (mostly negative) reactions in front of Midwestern and Southern crowds is really disconcerting. It's one thing for Northeastern and even West Coast crowds to shyt on Reigns. But when you have the Midwesterners and the now the Southerners giving him those same types of reactions, then you have a real problem on your hands.

Those are WWE crowds, not "smark" crowds, giving him those reactions. The SmackDown crowd I was in a couple of weeks ago had more kids than I've ever seen at an event in it (proportionally), and he still got a heavy split reaction. That can't be discounted, even considering how awful the Memphis crowd was tonight.

Did he get the best chance to shake that stigma off tonight? Absolutely not (as I said, this could have made him in front of a better crowd). But even in front said better crowd, I'm not sure this problem gets alleviated. They might really have to have Brock go over/Seth cash in and reset the Reigns push if they want to get anything out of him as a babyface. Otherwise, this guy's going to end up Sheamus 2.0, except with worse results for his heat and character.

I don't know, you gotta consider he was getting those reactions against a teflon guy like Bryan. I honestly think Reigns gets the nod from every fan if tonight's match ended up as a classic. He might have still get 50-50 crowd at best in that perfect scenario at WM weekend but that's outstanding all things things considered. Brock is loved by hardcores at this point but I think "WWE crowds" would've fully embraced Roman if he get's his "moment" tonight. Too bad he didn't.

I'm not gonna argue about a Reign's push reset because that's obviously the best and easiest answer to all their problems since the Rumble. But I'm trying to find ways for them to make things work in the context of them being fukking morons

This too. They have no idea how to get anyone over and if against all odds someone does get over, this booking crew always finds a way to make sure they don't stay over for long.

What's so puzzling about it? If Undertaker can't go, the best way for them to do their thing is through an orchestrated segment. It could just be as simple as Bray putting the beats to the Undertaker and taking over his mantle.

Exactly why I am not paying for their network. 6 different matches are likely for mania, and the 3 most over guys on the roster (bryan, ziggler, ambrose) are nowhere of any importance on the card. This mania is going to be terrible. No matches I want to see. Sting is too old to have a great match and taker had his last great match 3 years ago. The rest is complete throwaway filler.
