Same shyt could be said about new york, Boston or any inner city area. I really dont get why folks that spent all or most of their lives in the burbs, living in a house with yard and space would give that shyt up to be holed up in an apartment in an overcrowded and overpriced city because they are boring. Like they moved to the city to be entertained or move next to the bar or nightclub. The people who usually do that shyt are the folks with money that spent their whole lives living in a house in a nice area where that inner city shyt is a choice for them. If you've really been there, no need to relive it.

And the sad part is that the shyt that they're hyping up like the club or such neighborhood is corny and wack as fukk. Its usually a watered down or lite version of of the real shyt that was better before the gentrifiers got their hands on it. I'll pick the burbs anyday over the city.

Imaging losing your job in this day and age and being stuck paying like 2 grand for rent :picard:

Paying 2 grand for an apartment is too much in itself with a good job. 2 grand supposed to be some high end shyt. Folks that despite to live in DC that they're willing to pay for an apartment there. Who are these people?

One of my ladies plays 2600/mo for a 900sq ft apartment in downtown LA, meanwhile that same money could pay for a 3K sq foot home in Houston

Real estate depends heavily on location.

Yeah putting out numbers is stupid. If the salary that you are getting is equivalent to the area compared to a cheater area :yeshrug:

Rent in San Francisco is triple what I pay now but as long as my salary triples I don’t see a problem and the area and size of the place are the same.

Hearing these cacs here in DC complain about not being able to sit out in the "common area" of their overpriced apartment or windowless basement apartment brings a smile to my face. All before they been smug as as a mug about being in the center of it all but with that rona in the streets they now comparing their 600sqft spots to a jail.:russ::umad:

That same $2500 could've bought you a decent house with a yard and a porch that you can chill out on over in NE or SE but oh well. I guess them gentrification cacs gonna ghost out to Arlington or Bethesda after this is over.

Yep, property value in the subs are gonna soar nationwide in 5

I know dome folks in here balk at 2k, but a lot of the cats Ive known who can afford that have real money. It aint 80k a month cats sitting in those apartments, so if they wanted a home, they could damn well have em. This is in Chicago though so I cant speak for other cities.

A lot depends on income, lifestyle and where you live :yeshrug: i now live in a high rise 27th floor in midtown ATL my commute to work is less than ten minutes. I can uber anywhere in the city for less than $10. I dont pay 2500 but i know its more than the average for Georgia. I got a coworker who was trying to convince me to buy in Clayton county :hhh::picard:. I know 4 bedroom 3000 sqft cribs are going for 200k down there but its the boondocks for real.

fukk all that noise. You work hard for your income. You should at least be able to enjoy where you live. Renting for a year or two, enjoying the hi-rise condo midcity life while you single. aint nothin like it. I wouldn't do that for 10+ years. but a year or 2? 3? why not. so long as you have no problem paying all your bills and can still save a bit every month, aint no problem with it

The southern suburbs compared to the northern suburbs are night and day. Theres no development in the south and none coming.
