From all the stories and scouting reports I read he's WAY better.
Sorry, he's not going to be "WAY better" than a top 10 pitcher. He can be good, but that kind of hype is setting up for disappointment.

fukk Seattle.I hope the Mariners sign Cano and then trade for Price. The fans deserve something good to happen after the Smoak, Montero and Ackley disasters.
Plus spreading out superstars is only good for the game imo. A rotation of Felix, Price, Iwakuma is bonkers.

That's what I'm saying.I don't know why we don't see more...or any...HUGE short-term deals.
If I were a team trying to lure Cano, or another superstar, away from the bigger market teams, I'd consider offering something 5/$150...I wouldn't really have a problem going over $30M a year for a player of Cano's ability either.
He's average over 6 WAR a season since 2010, and at the current market price, 1 WAR is about $7M.
I wonder whether some of these players would consider 5/$165 over these 7 or 8 year offers at significantly lower AAV. Cano being 31 may be a little different, but even in his case he'd be in line for another healthy 2-3 year contract at age 36.

) or Reds.

Reports saying Mariners won't trade their top prospect and Price won't sign an extension if traded there.
