The Mets just spent a 1/3 of their winter budget on a platoon player...Lets Go Mets. Before the season ended the Mets were saying they had 40-50 million to invest in free agents this winter. The season ended and it went down 30-40. Now yesterday John Harper reported ownership won't budge from the 25-30 million budget. It keeps going down.

Also been reported Nelson Cruz, Peralta, and Drew are too rich for the Mets and the Mets are moving on. I'm about to declare my fandom free agency, fukk this team.

That better not be f'n 1/3 of their budget though. They probably could've spent less. :yeshrug:. I'm already not expecting much next year. What we do in regards to trades should be more interesting.

how you figure? :comeon:

he goes from an AS in 2012 to not driving the ball at all? he's clearly injured.

Nah Cardinals made a great trade. CF has been weak (Jay is bad defensively) and we got a great defensive CF, for a aging 3rd baseman, that's terrible defensively and is owed a lot of money. It's actually a steal.

the cards don't give up on players this quickly.

freese might be seriously hurt.

He's not hurt, he's just not a better option than what will be replacing him (Matt Carpenter).

Plus he's been hitting for less power and constantly hitting into double plays. I love the dude, he's an alumni of my h.s. but ...

Freese :camby:

And next, Jon Jay :camby:
