Kazmir and A's agree on two year deal

Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports reports that MLB's proposal to Japanese officials calls for a maximum amount for bids on players exposed to the posting system.

One report in Japan said that if multiple teams tie with the top bid, the player would go to the team with the worst record, but Brown hears that all relevant teams would remain alive and that the player would ultimately decide. Of course, this is just a proposal, so it's unclear whether it will actually be put into practice. But it's something to keep in mind with the much-hyped Masahiro Tanaka expected to be posted this winter.
