Manfred doesn't respect the game of baseball. This is only going to get worse when there's no wind to keep a ball in play. The new balls are slicker with little to no grip hence pitchers having location issues. When you get to 3-2 or 3-1, you have to throw for a strike and open yourself up to a hit. Great to good pitchers have turned pedestrian this year. For example, Nola, Scherzer and deGrom all have ERAs over four. This is nuts.

I'll say this: if he did it to create more action and balls in play, it was the right move. The game was becoming unwatchable.

I would imagine scoring is up as well, but that isn't always necessarily the case.

This idea of juiced balls being an issue has always been stupid.

I disagree. If you want to be entertained go watch the NBA which I started watching less of because of the rules are geared towards the offense. The NFL is headed the same route. A pitchers duel is just as fun as a 7-6 game.

Why is it stupid when the people who are playing the sport are talking about the ball being less grippable and those who cover the game, former players as well, note that the ball just jumps off the bat in ways not seen before.

Less control also means more walks and more strikeouts, which also aren't balls in play
