Yelich has clearly changed the trajectory of his swing.
Laugh about launch angles all you want, but the difference in Yelich's swing in Miami and his swing today is the reason for his turnaround.

Yelich's launch angle in 2019 is currently 13.9.
In 2017 it was 4.7.
In 2016 it was 2.5.

Playing in Miami had nothing to do with his performance there.
Keep hating on these metrics if you want to. Yall gon learn one day.

When you're able to elevate the ball it doesnt matter what stadium you play in.

As of this writing, Miami (4th) has a higher park factor than Milwaukee (7th)...though admittedly that's runs and not homers. But flyball rates dont only mean more HRs.

He isnt hitting the ball very hard. And he's been unlucky on balls in play.

My guess is he's pressing.
At the very least he should be crushing left handed pitching like he did last year. But he's sucking even at that right now. I wouldnt give up on him this season, but how much longer can they justify playing him over Thames if Thames stays hot?
