Zach Greinke has 2 years 70 mil left and is still good , besides the 1st year of the dbacks contract he’s been real good

Teams that need starting pitching should be on it

Astros are landing him or Noah. If we somehow get both it’s a wrap on the AL pennant :mjlit:

He has that insane no-trade clause though

There’s also his 15-team no-trade clause, which according to a baseball source allows him to block deals to the following teams: Orioles, Red Sox, Reds, Rockies, Tigers, Yankees, Athletics, Padres, Giants, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Angels, Dodgers, Twins and Phillies.

Brewers,Braves and I woulda said twins but they’re on the list

2 prospects that aren’t in the top 100 isn’t a great deal

Kay was in the top 100 before he was promoted into Triple A. Juiced balls messed up his ERA.Woods-Richards could enter the top 100 this year. Posted 11.5 K/9 and 2.55 FIP in single A at 18 years old. Maybe not a great deal, but it's good

Springer will be a FA in 2021. They won't trade him when your window is open for championships. Hinch doesn't trust Yordan in the OF everyday. They don't even trust him playing first. Jake isn't a everyday OF, neither is Straw.

There’s only like 2 or 3 teams who eat that contract

He probably spent weeks thinking he was going to a playoff team and ends up with the Mets. :scusthov:

Sounds like Blue Jays' front office a bunch of bytches. Ain't fukk with AA so they wanted to tax the Braves and ain't fukk with Stroman so wanted to send him to a trash squad. Dealing him to NYM fukked over everybody

None will eat that deal, 60 mil left over 2 years?

Willing and able are two different things, az will have to eat 35-40 percent in any trade

doubt it ,that they may have to eat some dough but grienke has a 0.943 whip,2.47 era and the highest strikeout to walk ratio in his career , he's a very good pitcher

if az eats that much they better be getting every elite prospect/mlb player haul.

No way they trade Springer. Reddikk and Yuli will be on the block this offseason. our OF depth isn't the best in our system.

Not in the system but we have a logjam up here in the majors, Yordan is classified as an outfielder too. The lights seem to have turned on again for Jake, you also have Tucker waiting, they throw Straw out there occasionally etc etc. I wouldn’t want to trade Springer either but if he yields a ransom of premium prospects to keep the show going then....:yeshrug:

We could use a catcher that can hit, maybe someone that can push Altuve to be more consistent, and you can never have enough pitching prospects.

Yuli & Reddikk aren’t going to get us much in return especially with JJ’s contract.

That was my thinking. Gurriel and Reddikk aren't gonna fetch much in a trade. Springer turns 30 in a couple months and will be a free agent at 31. If your owner doesn't want to go past the luxury tax (he should though with this kinda talent), it makes sense to deal Springer. :yeshrug:
