That Mets-Nationals finish was WILD. Still trying to figure out how it all happened.

Game like that could be a death blow for a lot of teams. We'll see if/how they bounce back this afternoon.

BTW, it's crazy how the Nationals have been white-hot for about two months but haven't really put a dent in the Braves' lead. I admit, I thought ATL might have faded some by now.

Edwin Diaz has been on the hot seat for a while now. Mets fans hate him.

He throws hard but he gives up a ton of hard contact and his slider sucks.

You thought wrong

Braves lead has actually increased and they're closer to LA for 1st in the NL than Washington is to them

Greinke has not been that good on the astros, very average

Hits per 9 increased, whip increased,so per 9 dropped,so to walk ratio cut in half ,hr per 9 increased has allowed a lot of hits and runs Etc
The coaching staff is tweaking a lot of things and you can see he’s trying to work on stuff. There was a video recently of how his pitch sequencing has changed and slight rpm on his pitches have changed.

Not worried especially since he’s a 3rd starter that can be supplemented with our super setup guys that will be available for Greinke & if needed Miley in the playoffs since no one uses a 5 man rotation.

So the coaching staff felt the need to tweak some things with a pitcher with the lowest whip in mlb, lowest walks per 9 and a great so to walk ratio?

Absolutely, plenty of people said Verlander was perfect walking through our doors, same with Cole and look at them now.

Difference is they both threw 95+. Even though Verlander was already HOF caliber, his stuff still gave him more "potential upside". Grienke, however, is well into his "old man game", painting 87 mph fastballs on the corner nshyt. There really isn't much that pine tar the Astros coaching staff can do for him.
