It’s been 18 years. I’m guessing they want to be as thorough as possible. I expect they will interview Saleh as well if the 49ers lose or make it to the Super Bowl.
We’re hiring for 3 positions HC, DC, and OC.
Informational gathering and self-scouting.
Can get great insight on the candidates current team (what works/doesn’t work, keys of success/failure, lessons learned, organization operations/procedures, etc)

they're gonna interview 16 people and then choose 4 or 5 finalist for the 2nd round of interviews next week
Saleh,Shula,Scheelhaase,and Joe Brady are final 4 interviews
the 2 Rams coordinators will interview tomorrow,Saleh on Sunday,and Joe Brady on Monday
You all are convinced the Ravens are conducting interviews for HC, OC and DC. If that's the case, it would be safe to speculate the new HC will not be picking his offensive and defensive coordinators. I wonder if the coaching staff will have chemistry issues behind the scenes since the situation could arise that these guys have never worked together and have different ideologies about how situations should be addressed. We could see some attrition with this coaching staff within the next 2 years.
I also heard people talking about Davis Webb and how his interview went with the Ravens for the HC job. He played QB at Texas Tech under Kliff Kingsbury in 2014.
If Webb gets the job, and contrary to my above scenario, they let him pick his own coordinators, I have a feeling he will hire Kliff as his OC. I wonder who he would want for DC.
I guess we'll know more next week when they move on to the 2nd stint of interviews.

From what I understand...EDC is the guiding hand in all of that. I mean the guy they just fired is probably the only guy on the market with shown success in choosing his guys.

Baker is far better without him.
Also I know Deshaun Watson has his issues, but the Browns looked like they had no clue what to do with a play making QB. Just a terrible fit and the offense didn't look like it works for QBs who hold the ball/extend plays.
