People starting to realize Airbnb's are overpriced and the fees make it not worth it in most cases. You pay a cleaning fee yet they expect you to wash the dishes, sheets and take out the trash when you check out.

You can get a hotel for cheaper plus hotels have daily room service and free breakfast. Airbnbs are only good for large group trips.
In greece, amalfi coast and South Africa i wanted a view, and an outdoor space (balcony) and hotels could not compete with Airbnb on any level including amenities and price.

When i travel, and am not looking to stay in a hotel, I always try to look at Sonder first. Essentially, they are a large Airbnb host with their own booking platform.

Like hotels, some of their spots can be a miss, but overall I have had a good experience. Plus now I have some status and they give discounts / wave the cleaning fees.

i use them too if i have a longer stay somewhere and want a full apartment. way easier to check into, especially at odd hours, and i like that they're not people's actual homes.

I never got the hype of Air BNB in the early days when it was legitimately renting out someone's apartment when they were gone. my homegirl use to airbnb her place when she was a consultant back in 2012/2013, the idea of randos in my home and bed was a big no. airbnb has only been a vacation rental spot for me - big groups and we need a house or going someplace like tahoe where it's easier to get homes/condos vs hotels. but i prefer the consistency and amenities of hotels solo unless i'm in a city 4-5+ days

Interesting times.

A correction is needed
That's all it is like ride share of food delivery businesses. The correction period comes after the initial success.

Airbnb has also been banned or restricted heavily in a lot of places for affecting availability or rental market for locals and also the crimes committed in Airbnb rentals like shootings at parties made alot of places heavily limit short term rentals.

Airbnb's are ideal for family trips as you get a functional kitchen and eating area.

I don't know who "y'all" is talking about but I ain't said shyt.

Check Fords and Carmax's quarterly earnings and statements. Check the average day-on-lot metric for car dealerships, check the figures on reports, and follow the trends. This isn't rocket science.

shyt, just go to a Ford dealership and look at the F-150s, they are the most popular vehicle in America, and every lot of overflowing with them cuz they can't move them.

I saw a truck go through an auction about a month ago and the highest bid was 18k, dealer said no sale they wanted 21k, same truck sold last week for 14k at auction. It's already started. If you bought a vehicle in the last year or so, sorry about your luck, if you wanna buy a vehicle, hold off until fall and thank me later.

I recently pivoted back to hotels after exclusively using airbnb for almost a decade.
Just more consistent and higher service level and now the good airbnbs cost as much as a hotel once you add fees
Last airbnb/vrbo I rented was a cliff side condo in St.Thomas I stayed in with multiple people little over a year ago. Only see myself doing airbnb if i REALLY want to be in residential areas for some reason and it's a location without a lot hotel options (ie: smaller islands or maybe remote under developed places like manual antonio CR)

i get what you saying but most hotels don't have daily room service (especially since covid if you are talking about "housekeeping" and not room service as in meals) and free breakfast lol. most of those that do will have you paying airbnb range

going further into the rabbit hole on this... i didn't even know unionized hotel workers had recently protested the lack of daily housekeeping.... and of course it has a racial aspect to it (wage impacts on women of color) :comeon: good article for those that want to actually gain knowledge lol

This. Went from actively only booking airbnbs for trips, to crawling back to hotels because they are cheaper and have housekeeping. The fees on some airbnbs are ridiculous.

Larger groups airbnbs is better tho.

Turo is in the same boat.

Tried to book a nice car for a weekend trip and the "Turo Fee" was nearly as much as the daily rate for the car.
Whats a “nice car?”. Turo is godly compared to renting at the airport.

Bro I have no doubt what you say is true but surely you realize people are mainly referring to airbnbs in the states, right?
