Bro I have no doubt what you say is true but surely you realize people are mainly referring to airbnbs in the states, right?

I’ve been having this conversation with people for years and almost always they don’t even know shyt is different abroad. They have a negative opinion about Airbnb and won’t even consider it

People starting to realize Airbnb's are overpriced and the fees make it not worth it in most cases. You pay a cleaning fee yet they expect you to wash the dishes, sheets and take out the trash when you check out.

You can get a hotel for cheaper plus hotels have daily room service and free breakfast. Airbnbs are only good for large group trips.

This is why I have NEVER Air B&B’d. The shyt was dumb.

Why the hell am I going on vacay and washing dishes, minding trash, etc?

You can stay in some random person’s house and clean up after yourself before you leave, while the concierge and room service at the resort ensure my every need is attended to for the next 10 days.

When i started with airbnb it was still fresh and cheap.

Now you have courses and seminars on how to sublets your apartment to make them airbnbs and ask for ridiculous amount of money.

If the airbnbs are the same price as hotels i just go back to hotels. That was the trade off and when thats gone fukk airbnb

I rented an Airbnb in Frisco Texas. The fukking owner had microphones in the backyard. I get a call around 10pm that she was giving me a warning because we were to loud in the backyard.


I was confused because I wasn’t outside and none of my family was and wtf you mean microphones?

She says it’s in the rental agreement and I must have missed it. I told her nobody was in the backyard check her cameras. She calls back and tells me whoever is in the downstairs bedroom triggered the microphone. The warning would stay in place because she can’t lose her neighbors trust

We had to work out an agreement with her to accept our refund. Crazy bytch.


I just went to my family house for a week. My brother was like you should have just came here from the start.

How you get banned

I had an account but forgot cause I only used it one time a while back. Then next time I used it I started an account and booked some shyt for a week but, the morning after it was booked, they sent someone to the spot to put me out because they wanted to investigate the account

But this is a building I had a condo in a know everyone and the dude who came was my partner who is the he maintenance man. I’m like man wtf. He said they sent me over here and said whoever over here is a fraud and for me to change the locks. Then he like you know the owner and tell me who the owner is. I’m like oh yeah I know buddy from being in the building. So I go to him and he like I don’t know why they tripping, just give me the cash if they keep tripping.

So I call and call my bank at the same time and put them in the phone and verify everything and the transaction. At this point the payment is pending now and they tell me it will take 3-5 days to investigate.

So then they call me back and I tell them cancel this shyt. I know the owner goofy ass nikkas. Instead of giving y’all scary ass $1400 I’m gonna save money cause he told me just give him a stack, so I’m avoiding y’all fees anyway. I’m like, I’m offended. It’s grams, not scams, don’t ever accuse me of no fraud ass shyt smh. So they say ok

But 20 minutes later, I get a text from them saying my case has been escalated to a different team. So I respond saying I was confused cause I was just in a call and they said they would cancel the booking, and asked to confirm that. The next reply was, this case is closed and we’ll be in touch or some shyt.

So I call my bank, and tell them cancel that payment cause air bnb smoking fent if they think they about to accuse me of finessing then try and finesse me. Then the bank came back after a few minutes and said they just reversed the payment (air bnb had reversed it, not my bank), so all was well.

Then I got an email later from air bnb saying after careful consideration they’ve decided I can’t use them again. And I replied saying I banned myself bytch nikka. These nikkas literally replies again saying we reviewed your account again and still decided to ban you from air bnb.

Then the next day the owner of the unit told me they emailed him and it all stemmed from having 2 accounts in the system

Tried to book a nice car for a weekend trip and the "Turo Fee" was nearly as much as the daily rate for the car.

Lies.

Turo remains undefeated. Only thing I don’t like is that in L.A you have to pick it up from somewhere near the airport, since they can’t drop it off to you there.

they started out as a nice cheap option. I used one when I just moved out to Long Island. Very convenient. cheaper than hotel, much less red tape and rules.

when I moved to Boston 4 yrs later, I tried it again. Figured why not? just a couple weeks before I sign lease on the new spot.

MAN, the amount of BS for a basic ass small 1 br for a short stay had me straight up just book a REAL HOTEL during my airbnb stay and just pack up and move out. I didn't even ask for a refund. When they asked for a review, I removed the app

Too grown to be dealing with that bs. fukk your shytty entry code, high cleaning fees, ridiculous housekeeping rules, guest rules, appliance rules etc

U can't ask for all that to be done and still cost 80% as much as a Marriott just down the block. idgaf about your convenient location if I'm doing all the fukking work and paying you a premium to do so. da fuk?

These jackasses want to charge all this money without doing anything. the audacity!

Air BnB = prefer it on vacations where we're mostly relaxing, going to the beach etc (Hawaii, Florida etc)

Hotels = prefer when we're going to be gone and doing lots of sightseeing, trying restaurant etc (New York/NJ/Chicago)

Did Air BnB in Vegas and that shyt was nice. Owner was busy so we never saw him even though he was there in the main house. We had a whole pool house to ourselves plus a big azz 8 ft deep pool. Fridge, good A/C, stove to heat up food. It was like 20 minutes from the strip.

Like both options depending on the situation.

Air BnB is best with owners that got money and don't need to milk every dollar. The new entrants gotta charge crazy money just to break even...which makes them less valuable.
