White children don't have a world out there against them. Black children can't afford to go through childhood trauma brought on by child abuse and at the same time be prepared for the world.

It's the reason why some people respect their parents, and why some people fear them. It's not the same thing.

Agreed ESPECIALLY with your point about childhood trauma. Perpetuating violence like that is never okay, especially not on your kids. Scars may heal but the mental abuse and trauma inflicted will interfere with their lives forever, unless they are willing to go to therapy and seek help so that they can try to lead more healthier lives. If you resort to "beatings", find a better way to discipline them. Police brutality is not an excuse, it doesn't serve as a warning for your kids and keep them off the streets, it only makes them fear you. Kids need a safe space to flourish and grow.

Somewhat off topic but I hate when people brag about the ass whoopings they got as a child. This older dude I use to work with told about his daddy whipping him bloody and forcing him to sit outside until the blood dried. I also hate when people suggest that bad ass hood children need to be beat more. As if anyone beats their kids as often and early as hood parents.

man getting beat as a kid was no joke. My sister was vicious with it.
I remember there one time she beat me so bad i couldnt even sit on my hard as chair in school. I won't even mention the broom and pots she used to knock me across the back with. Its amazing i can even walk properly.
I still love my sister tho
When i got older i realized the stress she was under taking care of all of us.

No older sibling should really be keeping or in charge of kids.
I don't care what some old wives and maids say.

Kids are not parents and it builds contempt amongst siblings that creates a gap between them socially.
That never pulls either of them closer.

I'm telling you from experience that the truth is this. The pain will fade, the wounds will heal, but the scars will stay. That's what scars are. Our Personal proof that bad things have happened to you. There's nothing alright about this. It follows you, and can control your interactions with others. You become accustomed to pain, so much that you'll push good people away in fear that they'll hurt you one day. Because not knowing, the unknown will be more attractive to you than taking that risk to be vulnerable. I'll know exactly how to raise my kids, because my blueprint will be to raise my kids the exact opposite of how I was raised. Unfortunately.

Parents also need to think outside the box like taker her phone , no internet, grounded in her room etc
