Jokes aside, I don't get why black men are all either 'thugs' or 'lames' and can't be anything else. We try so hard to reinforce damn white-spawned stereotypes its sad. Arguably the majority of women brainwashed with that line of thinking while men of any other race can be perceived as almost anything and still retain their masculinity.

A lack of confidence is the issue with most of these complainers. I don't care about most of my husbands interests, and some of them I find to be quite stupid and immature. But I like him as a person. He is not defined by his hobbies, he is more than that. He is also not depressed, bitter, or socially awkward. There are always exceptions, but most black women are not going to approach a man, act overly interested, and then offer to suck his dikk within 10 minutes. It's not impossible, but it is not likely to happen. That is not a fault of black women. Just because there are other women who are more likely to behave in this way, it doesn't mean that black women don't like black men or they only want thugs, etc. Nor does it mean that other women love black men so much more. It means that in general black women expect men to initiate, that should not be seen as an issue or a fault.

If a man needs a woman to finesse him with her words and make the first move, then I agree, he will be waiting a long time for a black woman. But be careful, because the good book of Proverbs warns us about women whose words drip with mental seduction but they actually lead you to death.

Well their problem is that they need to stop comparing themselves to everyone else. That's why they use that seperate mentality as a shield. Just be yourself. Most of the class clowns in school are weird, but they joke around and make people laugh so they're tolerated or known. I just hate self-defeatist attitudes, especially from men, since men are basically defined by action not whining.

They are being themselves. Problem is that self gets rejected and well that leado to a downward spiral. It's very easy to judge when you aren't the one who has to act or approach. But they shouldn't let women's opinion of them control their lives

What a lot of you guys are missing is that young girls never have the best taste in men. That's youth, not some grand conspiracy against socalled upstanding black men. Kids will be kids. As we get older we should mature but truth is most black are slow to mature with regards to dating. You got men and women in their mid 20s and beyond still chasing media images.

How about you let kids be kids but expect adults to be wiser and made better choices in every aspect of life.

It's obviously a different issue than that if you admit people well into their adulthood are doing the same thing

Fine for the record I was attracted to a girl like this named Ashley in hs. Nerdy ect we talked all the time and I told her I was into her I was upfront. Even her mom knew and would talk to me like I was her son in law.. but she wanted to go back to dating her basketball playing crip ex instead of date me. It's what is is but don't give me a story like that when that's my type.
