7 episodes in and this season has been absolute dog shyt. The writing is just terrible. Feels like they're trying to make every bit of dialogue so dramatic and grandiose, but it just comes off boring and forced.
On the wedding episode right now and for whatever reason they decided to add in a 5 minute scene between two random ass side characters(Tiffany and Sarah) that absolutely nobody cares about. shyt, I barely care about most of the characters who actually work at the restaurant at this point. The season has been 80% fluff and that's being generous.

fukk this season. This show has managed to take Chicago, one of the most welcoming and warmest culinary cities, and reduce it to b-roll from a 90's indie video shoot. Lou Mitchell's in the morning with NO LINE and no one handing out donuts? What the helly? Wha di bombaclat? Where are the scenes of these nikkas closing up shop and hitting a dive bar and the tamale guy? WHERE IS MY CITY

The finale was one of the worst pieces of television I've ever seen. A whole episode of Carm and Syd and Richie screaming at each other and crying like bytches. Perfect example of a writing team being completely full of themselves. Can't believe I wasted my time on this trash.

I felt the same but last 2 episodes to me were great.
Especially the finale, i can see that it'll get some hate but the acting by Carm, Richie & Sydney was operating at a high level.
Low key reminded me of Sopranos Whitecaps & when Vic confronts Shane about Lem in The Shield.
I do feel like they could've gone with another angle for this season & had the closure/moving on from trauma for the next season.
Show should not go beyond season 5 though.
