So we just gonna pretend Auburn, Texas, osu, and Florida didnt run spread :jbhmm:

They also played physical football and could use the power run when needed big 12 teams can't outside of texas and Ou in their heyday

Those teams you mentioned could also play great defense the big 12 can't

Im not blaming the spread offense it's about being able to play physical in both lines and be able to run the ball and wear teams out the big 12 doesn't do that

Yeah it's never gonna win a title as you said Oregon is it's ceiling and they get mauled on the line of scrimmage against the best teams

But it depends where you are. RichRod using it at Michigan where u can get top talent makes no sense but him using it at places like West Virginia and Arizona to win a few more games with inferior talent on places you can never win a title anyway makes sense

Most big 12 teams outside of Texas And Ou get mid major level talent so I can see why they do it. They know they probably can't win a title anyway so if they can use it and win 9 10 games a year like tcu and baylor for them it's worth it. They'd do backflips just to make the playoffs one year even though they'd get destroyed
Oregon lost the national title game to Auburn by a FG :what:

:mjlol: @Ed MOTHERfukkING G Watch Big 10 Football & think you're knowledgeable enough to give advice on Offense breh!!

IMO, tOSU will continue to dominate Michigan because tOSU is running a modern run based-spread system, while Michigan is Running a WCO/Pro-style offense.
If u think anyone is gonna dominate Michigan much longer, then u dont know James Joseph Harbaugh

TCU beat Ole Miss last year in I think the Peach Bowl and beat Oregon w/o Boykin. You can win big with the spread but the perception of the people that hold the cards(the committee) view those type of offenses or teams that rely on their offense as inferior.

Why is a team that rely's on their defense viewed in higher regard than a team that rely's on it's offense?
Ole miss was never a championship level team breh. Just an overrated SEC west squad.

Let TCU try that on Bama or OSU last year and they get thier asses blasted

The Big 12 needs to start playing better defense. If they don't, what you saw this season will continue. Not to mention, outside of Texas and OU, there isn't a school out there that will consistently get the top 150 recruits in the nation. I believe the Big 12 is the lowest conference in the number of top 150 to top 300 recruits out of the P5 conferences. The conference needs Texas and OU BOTH to be good. Nobody cares about TCU. Nobody cares about Baylor. Nobody cares about Oklahoma State. This is why if there ever was another round of expansion and the Big 12 would have to dissolve, Texas and OU are the prizes. The others will just simply hope to tag along.

The vast majority of Texas and OU fans want out of the Big 12. Texas fans really hate Deloss for keeping them in it. They also hate that he was so focused on getting ND that he lost out on Louisville would have been a solid pickup along with WVU. They would have had a regional rival. I have heard mixed reactions on the LHN as well amongst Horn fans. The closer we get to 2025, the closer we get to another round of rumors of expansions. Texas, OU, and KU would be solid additions to the Big 10 or Pac 12. Texas will likely never do the SEC.

So now Ole Miss was just an overrated SEC team (which one isn't)? :stopitslime: They've beaten Alabama 2 years in a row was as high as #3 last year until Treadwell got hurt and are consistently pulling in top 10 recruiting classes.

If Texas takes Houston, that's a big problem for the SEC. Because it would cement the state's biggest recruiting spots as well as the rest of the state honestly as a Big 12 state. Right now, you can make an argument that Houston is an SEC city. DFW is a Big 12 city and they didn't even need TCU to stay a Big 12 city.
